The best music tool to learn how to play the guitar or the bass, period. Hold your money, though, that song library has to grow and mature for the subscription model to make sense.

For a beginner guitarist, Rocksmith+ is a godsend.

Rocksmith+ is a far from perfect offering from Ubisoft, but it’s an undeniably effective teaching tool. Learning to play a track through Rocksmith+ offers more fun than staring at the same tab for an hour, but whether or not it has the songs you’re after is another matter entirely.

The game has constant connection issues, and they are well aware of it. Yet all their tech support does is give you a list of troubleshooting procedures, that may, or may not work. Why they can still be allowed to take subscriptions is beyond me.

I really, really try to love this, but still if you compare it to Rocksmith 2014 with CLDC I would give it only two stars. However since Rocksmith 2014 has serious stability issues nowadays and not supported anymore, I try to approach Rocksmith+ as an option instead of Yousician, Melodics etc... which it actually is. Game is actually quite fun and it has the best music library of subscription based music games. It might well be the most fun learning game for guitar and keys actually. However not all songs are originals and they are covers, but they are well made in comparison to other learning games which often don't have even full songs. Gameplay is very similar to old Rocksmith - when you play single player mode. And this is my main issue here. The BEST part of Rocksmith was always playing together with your friends. This is not possible with Rocksmith+. Imagine how fun it would be to play Sabaton together with keys and guitar?!
Also there is no support for multiple profiles, practically all other music learning apps support multiple profiles for family members so you can track your own progress. Also they didn't release it for Mac? What the heck? I could say that a huge number of users who have music as hobby are using Macs. It doesn't even work well on Windows ARM, so can't play it via Parallels either. In desperation I am currently playing it via iPad connected to my mixer and that works okay as long as the small screen is ok with you and you have decent soundcard for it. I subscribed to this during Black Friday pricing, and this is the most I would pay for this now (around 50€/year). However if they want me to keep subscribed they will need to address a couple of issues below. Positive:
- quite nice selection for songs, though still not as good as RS2014
- UI is ok, and most of the songs are made well for learning
- the videos supporting learning are mostly nice Negative (in priority order) :
- no two player games :(
- no support for family profiles
- no MacOS support
- Windows ARM support
- where is White Zombie from the library and many others?
- strange and difficult audio setup for advanced sound cards/mixers (on windows)
- subscription model ( I don't need thousands of songs, I only need 50-100 songs I love)

This game is horrible. The music selection **** plus it’s a subscription based game no thank you I’m going to stick with rock Smith 2014. There’s no reason to have to pay monthly. You should at least allow people to pay for the game and then add DLC or some type of subscription service, but the base game should. be a one time fee, The only cool feature is connecting the iPhone as a mic other than that this is garbage

Love it. Much improved from OG and 2014. Look forward to them filling out the song library some more.

It's a great learning experience so far. Note detection is greatly improved over previous editions. The song selection at release has some decent selections, but I'm hoping we'll see quite a few more popular songs soon.

I'm absolutely getting my money’s worth out of RS+ but there's room for improvements. There are hundreds of great songs in RS+ already, if one wants to learn to play guitar or bass, unless your goal is to start a specific greatest hits cover band. There's a lot to discover and worth playing. The argument, I don't know any of the songs therefore I have no interest in playing any of them is one I personally don't understand. One of my favorite genres, Metal of the more extreme kind is seriously underrepresented (as of now) but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy a good song from any other genre, even if I have never heard it before.

The is a good learning tool, and the game and sound engine are better than RS2014. It's missing some previous features, such as session mode. The product has the potential to be great, but at the moment I cant recommended it due it to its awful song selection.

The game is OK and has lots of songs but they removed session mode, recommended songs and mod support. The video stammers and audio configuration is very hard.
Oh, and you can't buy it, this is a game as service. A VERY EXPENSIVE service.

This game is an enormous downgrade from Rocksmith 2014. I really loved the previous version, but this version is just a huge waste of money. The subscription based cost means you're paying $100+ per year for the game. The justification for this cost is the song library, which is just garbage. The most recent metal album in the library is 2019. In the Rock category, there have only been 7 songs added from 2021 and 2022 and none of them are event remotely popular bands. You will be hard pressed to find 4 songs you even recognize in this game unless you're a big fan of pop rock from the 50's and 60's.
SummaryLearn to play acoustic, electric, or bass guitar with Rocksmith+, the only subscription service that offers interactive music learning using official song master recordings and personalized real-time feedback. Rocksmith+ has been built upon the proven Rocksmith method which has helped almost 5 million people learn how to play guitar. 9... Read More
