The game is basically what I expected: an RPG set in space. I really enjoyed the main story. It is a bit slow to start, but it didn't long to hook me into completing it. As in previous BGS titles, there are several faction-based story lines. There's also a mission board system with fetch/kill/delivery quests to kill some time and get some credits. in over 70 hours of game play, I've had one CTD which is pretty amazing for a BGS title. I've had a lot of minor bugs - mostly NPC pathing which has often been hilarious. Though I love the game, it does have some faults. The outpost system is pretty powerful, but it ultimately doesn't have much of a purpose in-game outside of making credits. Making credits is important, of course, but I wish it had more impact.

It's a great learning experience so far. Note detection is greatly improved over previous editions. The song selection at release has some decent selections, but I'm hoping we'll see quite a few more popular songs soon.
