I really, really try to love this, but still if you compare it to Rocksmith 2014 with CLDC I would give it only two stars. However since Rocksmith 2014 has serious stability issues nowadays and not supported anymore, I try to approach Rocksmith+ as an option instead of Yousician, Melodics etc... which it actually is. Game is actually quite fun and it has the best music library of subscription based music games. It might well be the most fun learning game for guitar and keys actually. However not all songs are originals and they are covers, but they are well made in comparison to other learning games which often don't have even full songs. Gameplay is very similar to old Rocksmith - when you play single player mode. And this is my main issue here. The BEST part of Rocksmith was always playing together with your friends. This is not possible with Rocksmith+. Imagine how fun it would be to play Sabaton together with keys and guitar?! Also there is no support for multiple profiles, practically all other music learning apps support multiple profiles for family members so you can track your own progress. Also they didn't release it for Mac? What the heck? I could say that a huge number of users who have music as hobby are using Macs. It doesn't even work well on Windows ARM, so can't play it via Parallels either. In desperation I am currently playing it via iPad connected to my mixer and that works okay as long as the small screen is ok with you and you have decent soundcard for it. I subscribed to this during Black Friday pricing, and this is the most I would pay for this now (around 50€/year). However if they want me to keep subscribed they will need to address a couple of issues below. Positive: - quite nice selection for songs, though still not as good as RS2014 - UI is ok, and most of the songs are made well for learning - the videos supporting learning are mostly nice Negative (in priority order) : - no two player games :( - no support for family profiles - no MacOS support - Windows ARM support - where is White Zombie from the library and many others? - strange and difficult audio setup for advanced sound cards/mixers (on windows) - subscription model ( I don't need thousands of songs, I only need 50-100 songs I love)

I loved this game on PC, even though it had some bugs with audio volumes and graphics. However I mostly play from comfort of my sofa on PS5 so I was very excited to see that this is being released for PS5. The game looks ok on PS5 though I think more could be get out of PS5 if code was optimized for PS platform. Missions and atmosphere are great, but there are couple of things which makes the game not work for me at least for now. Bugs of course, I haven't been able to complete my first real mission even if I tried four times and got even so far that all I needed to do was to return to harbor. But then game crashed. These will be probably fixed later so this is hopefully not permanent problem. Controls is the worst. Since this was originally planned for mouse and keyboard the controls feel very awkward in PS5. And they don't even follow the generic way PS5 usually use controls. The buttons dont feel logical at all (maybe they are directly from XBOX version?) and doing most stuff meant to do with mouse is very slow. This would have been rare and great place to use PS5 touchplate to control mouse cursor, but that doesn't seem to be supported either. You can't find all the control options anywhere later, so if you see it in some instructions or tutorials be careful to note it down. For example I have no idea anymore how to select an enemy ship for targeting from the map without changing your course at the same time. Nor did I remember later how to queue your course change. Zooming on the map (and elsewhere) is done on directional pad, which feels very awkward but is a result of having to use mouse cursor and window movement using the sticks. When looking your ship outside I can't get far enough of the ship which I could do easily with PC version. Conclusion: If controls were better optimized (especially utilizing the touchpad) for PS5 as they are usually used and some bugs fixed, I think I could give this game even a 9. But now adding the fact that this is the only PS5 game in years I've paid full price for and after couple of hours playing and losing everything due to crash just makes me disappointed. I hope I can update this review to better score in near future.

Nice looking game, especially in VR. Driving is quite fun when you eventually get there. However - I bought is on disk (never buy anything from PSN store, they are more expensive and you can't sell to your firends) still on the install I had to download for 2 hours to install - who in the heck decided that you are forced to watch some annoying intro video for 10 minutes before you can play? Really? WTF? - Basic UI/UX designer has been probably on vacation during the whole development. I've never seen so much menu diving and so horrible user interface on any game. Why do I have to go through multiple screens every time if I want to tune my car or even buy tuning parts when tuning? Where are all the shortcuts? - Why in the heck is the replay always the default option and I had to do multiple presses instead of just going forward? And no, I really don't want to look at replay of those license training sessions where I just accelerate and brake - There is always too much screens and all other crap than just driving, you will spent as much time on the menu diving as driving the cars. - and of course the worst part: - forced online so they can disable the game from you when they want to and also force you to make micropayments if you want to use this as a normal game. Avoid and wait for better games that actually concentrates on driving and not annoying users. -
