PlateUp! is barrels of fun if you’re playing with friends or family. You’ll be barking orders to one-another before you know it. And even if you fail, you’ll find yourself starting another run in this fairly addicting cooking slash restaurant management roguelike.

PlateUp! is a fantastic rogue-lite cooking simulation title. What's more, it is infuriating, addictive, and original. Play solo or with friends as you cook, burn, and serve every meal to impatient customers. Can you make everyone happy, or will your restaurant be shut for good?

Plate Up is a unique restaurant management experience, mixing roguelike elements into the genre in a way I’ve never seen before. It requires a keen mind, good planning skills, excellent communication, and tenacity. All of which I don’t have. Luckily the game also lets you practice new recipes by feeding cats. It was the perfect way to work on my skills while wondering if these cats do ever get full.

i got this game for my gf since we like playing overcooked together on xbox and its easy for her to understand and play. It being on the steam deck makes it even better. She got to a 4 star restaurant before needing my help. I'm not a fan of how the layouts look/are as i think they make the game more difficult without intention, i think. Maybe i skipped over how to get more of them or how to make my own. regardless the game is fun and quirky enough without being over bearing so its an easy pick me up game that can easily be enjoyed by but i think 2 players is probably best. Happy to see they released a cafe update as im sure me and her will have fun running around and managing our own coffee shop

Fun and relaxing game. (Played a lot via Remote Play) Sometimes I need a break from all the violence in games and just play something nice, something casual. That's where PlateUp! comes in. You create a little restaurant, receive guests, make food and wash dishes. You collect upgrade plans for your restaurant to make stuff easier, like a dishwasher, a cooking pit that cannot burn food or conveyer belts that transport food to a freeze unit. After earning 10 stars throughout 10 levels, you can make your very own franchise, which is then saved. Fail anywhere in between, and your progress is gone. Every time you play, you unlock new recipes, buildings, decorations, locations and silly hats for your character. Graphicly this game is nothing special. But for a simple, calming game like this, that is totally fine. The sounds effects and background music are silly and goofy. The controls take some time to get used to, but once figured out, they are smooth and easy. With a friend, PlateUp! becomes even more fun and when two people divide the various tasks, managing your restaurant becomes a lot easier. I really like the simplicity of this game. You cook, clean, serve customers and collect monies, sometimes, that is all that I need in life. Overall, I think PlateUp! is a nice, little game that offers some relaxation and satisfaction. I would surely recommend it.

Extremely fun, especially with friends. I didn't think I would get into it since it's not really my genre, but it's just genuinely fun. It looks like it's also got some good complexity with the fact that the restaurant's arrangement is on you and you have furniture pieces to automate processes. Definitely recommended

PlateUp! takes what works about overcooked and expands on it, turning it from a fun game to play occasionally with friends into a game you and your friends can play often. The way that your understanding of the game allows you to create kitchen setups that make your life easier, and the potential for automation as well as the roguelike nature of it makes every run fresh and every dish different. for people who enjoyed overcooked, this game is a must have.
