If you’re nostalgic for the classic fast-paced restaurant/cafe management games, you’re bound to love Pixel Cafe. It offers hours of fun and is one of those rare games that reminds you of fond old favourites from back in the day. With a low price tag, it’s worth checking out.

Overall, Pixel Cafe is a charming cafe time manager with great pixel art. The chill Lo-fi rock soundtrack fits well with the mood, scenes, and themes of each cafe you work at. I’d say its price, $12.99, is fair as the game is pretty well done and has a good amount of content.

One of its kind - charming mix of time manager, pixel art and story atypical for this medium.

Cute art style! I love this type of diner dash gameplay, and the game constantly adds new mechanics so it doesn't get stale. The dialogue is a bit clunky, but it's charming enough. A really nice relaxing and affordable game for when you just want to chill out.

Somewhat clunky controls and clumsy writing make for an okay experience, but not a good one. Before buying I thought I'd really enjoy the art style, but the sprites slow blink in a way that makes them off-putting. The difficulty ramp also seems a bit off, but that might be due to struggling to use the controls smoothly. I wish this title had done something closer to Virtual Families Cook Off: Let's Go Flippin' for the controls, since it doesn't allow the usage of the touch screen. Instead of being able to control most things with a single button, there's a lot of cycling through options. It hampers speed and prevents you from getting into a pleasant workflow, which is my favourite part when it comes to titles like these.

The controls were somewhat annoying (on the pc) because there are some compulsory things that could have been improved. For example, if you see diner dash which is the most lovabel in the franchise it allows you to queue up your actions in advance so that the character rushes through all actions. Here, you need to wait that extra 2 seconds after some cooking is done just to have it become clickable. It seems there's some delay in the click scripting vs animation. Story was decent and the overall progress felt good. However, the difficulty felt pretty high which made it unenjoyable.
