By far the best of the 3 stories games. This time the story and characters are actually good and not a snooze fest. Visually this game is soo pretty and vibrant and the combat is immaculate turn base rpg

Monster Hunter Stories 3 Review Story
I actually ended up enjoying the story way more than I expected. Compared to Stories 2, the characters feel more real and I found myself caring about them a lot more. There’s also a slightly more mature tone this time, which I think fits the game really well and makes everything feel more grounded.
That said, Rudy really dragged parts of it down for me. He’s constantly shouting and being rude for no real reason, and it just breaks immersion. There were multiple moments where I was fully into the story, and then he talks and it just pulls you out of it.
The final boss is also a bit questionable. Being forced to play as Ratha sounds cool, but it ends up feeling like RNG rather than skill. You’re basically hoping to survive instead of actually mastering the fight, which is a weird choice for such an important moment. Combat
Combat is honestly one of the strongest parts of the game.
The stamina system adds a nice layer of strategy, and the new abilities keep things from feeling repetitive. What I really liked is how characters grow over time, unlocking a second weapon and even another monster. It gives you more flexibility and makes team-building feel meaningful.
At any point in a fight, you feel like you have options, and that’s what makes the system so enjoyable. It’s simple to understand but has enough depth to keep you engaged. Habitat Restoration
This was a surprise highlight for me.
The habitat restoration system isn’t just there for visuals, it actually adds real value. It feels rewarding to interact with, and the bonuses you get make it worth investing time into.
The coolest part is how monsties can change elements depending on where you release them once your rank is high enough. That leads to some really interesting dual-element monsters that look great and feel unique. Honestly, this system is strong enough that I could see it working in mainline Monster Hunter games. Endgame
This is where the game really falls apart.
There’s basically no endgame content right now, and that’s a huge problem. In Stories 2, finishing the story gave you a reason to keep playing. You could build your team, experiment with genes, and really dive into the deeper systems.
Here, once you beat the final boss… that’s it.
Which makes no sense for a game like this. The systems are there, but there’s no real reason to use them after finishing the story. It kills the motivation to keep playing, and that’s honestly frustrating because the game has so much potential. Overall Verdict
Monster Hunter Stories 3 is definitely a step up from Stories 2.
The combat feels better, the story is more engaging, and the systems are more refined overall. It’s a genuinely good game and I had a great time with it.
But the lack of endgame content really holds it back. It feels like something is missing.
If Capcom adds proper post-game content through updates, this could easily become a 9 or even a 10. But right now, it just feels incomplete. Final Score: 8/10
A really strong game with one major flaw holding it back.

It's an very good story-rpg with an interesting combat-system like the previous games of this series. It has also his own mechanics and improvements. This game has also an really pretty art style which fits perfect in my opinion. Overall this game is very clean and has no deficits.

Genuinely one of the best JRPGs you'll ever play. An absolute delight with deep combat, excellent level of difficulty, and an open world that truly makes you engage with the things around you.

The gameplay is a bit difficult for first-time RPG enthusiasts. But I do really enjoy the graphics, monster collecting, and exploration. The characters are charming and the story is engaging, if not a bit simplistic. Overall, I really enjoyed my time with this game. It's a huge step up from the last two entries and a great direction for the franchise.

It is almost like the pokemon games but better story, combat, and performance. Almost perfect but no end game.

The game is very good, very addictive ( gameplay, storie, graphics...). And also not that easy contrary to what the guy who gave it a 2-star rating said, because the game doesn't have an endgame (btw pure ragebait)

Amazing, the Art style, The music, the gamplay is a solid fun game. Capturing monsters and watch them gaining experience points is similar to pokemon. The monsters you capture can fight alongside you.

Beautiful time sink that never gets old. The depth in the storytelling is so much more mature and darker compared to the previous games and the monstie roster is simply amazing apart from a few that were left out

A big step up from the last game. There are still a few rough spots, but it really feels like the kind of title that convinces you they’ll refine everything and push the series even further next time.

I can say without a doubt, it's the best entry in the spin-off series. Really loving the story and it's more mature theme, tho I wish they didn't have to take away free flying and kinda getting tired of the whole rathalos thing. If you're gonna use him for the third time in a stories game at least make him stand out gameplay wise apart from visually. Those are my pet peeves otherwise fantastic game

Really fun and well-made. Other than few issues like such as no coop/pvp, the game itself is very neat

No multiplayer, no endgame. The VERY deep gameplay mechanics are made completely useless by the absolute lack of replayability, you finish the (very easy) main quest and you are done with the game forever. Not worthy of the Monster Hunter name and surely not worth the price. I would have asked for a refund if I knew this was it.

The best game in the franchise so far. The story has evolved a lot from previous games, and the visuals are more beautiful than ever. The exploration is enjoyable, and the new mechanics for relocating the monsties to the environment are super interesting. Definitely one of the games of the year. The console version is incredible, very enjoyable to play.

Perfect sequel that improved all aspects of the Stories series. Very beautifull artstyle and graphics with voiced protagonists. This is how you do a great JRPG. Pokemon could never.
