Despite the range of game modes, this game is very small. When you look at the bigger picture you’re basically doing the same thing over and over again. Running around and hitting things with the same button, and the same can be said for the challenges. On the other hand, the game is fun when played with friends. It probably wont keep you entertained for a whole night of gaming, but you’ll certainly have some funny moments along the way.

One of the funniest games you can play with your friends, either locally or with your Xbox Live friends. Even if you play against the AI bots by yourself you will get some fun, or get some real challenge if you choose the Extreme AI bots difficulty.

It's perfect for a night with friends, or very short sessions. Played with bots it could grow old at alarming speed, so it's definitely better served with pals to enjoy it with.

Knight Squad is a lot of fun. It's a short experience that is a blast to play with friends in short bursts. It can be quite difficult, but the reward is well worth it in the end.

It doesn't offer much in the way of single-player content. You get some challenges and bot matches, but this game is all about the multiplayer. Playing online would be a blast provided anyone was actually, you know, online. I wasn't able able to find a single match that way. Now normally that would mean the death **** like this, but "Knight Squad" still manages to retain some value as an awesome party game. It's an absolute blast to get your friends together and laugh at all of the onscreen chaos. The more the merrier in this game. Deaths come swift and usually so does the end of the match itself. With a healthy offering of different modes this is likely to steal away many hours when playing with friends. Even playing by yourself against the AI in bot matches can provide a lot of entertainment thanks to solid nature of the arcade style gameplay. Knight Squad is a lot of fun. It's a shame no one is playing online and there really isn't anything going on as far as single-player goes, but if you regularly get together with others and want experience some satisfying, competitive gameplay that everyone can wrap their heads around then this game is one worth checking out. Some light aiming issues with projectiles aside everything here work very well. A sure hit with any group of friends looking for laughs and excitement. 7.2/10

If you're looking for pure arcade action that's a blast to play locally, Knight Squad is worth checking out. There's a ton of modes to keep things varied, and the chaotic pace is perfect for party play.

It's just an easy game to play, one button but very involved. Challenges are frustratingly hard, but doable. The multiplayer and co-op experience with friends is unbelievably fun

There are better multiplayer-focused games, but Knight Squad is definitely interesting and fun, and we think it is worth your time taking into account it's available as one of the Games with Gold on Xbox One.

There's no shortage of cool party games these days, and Knight Squad stands among them. It's not something I see myself returning to time and time again like some of its peers, but I got a kick out its accessible, action-packed multiplayer. If you're coming along for the ride, be sure to bring friends.

With already shaky matchmaking, and the chances of regularly rounding up four or five spare Xbox controllers (let alone willing playmates) in the same living room rather slim, however, some of Knight Squad’s potential is sadly squandered.

Knight Squad suffers from a couple of problems, but overall, it's good for what it is. It's a way to get friends together to slash them to ribbons and, barring that, it's a quick way to kill some time in the online space.

Fun game. I **** at it, but that didnt stop me from having a blast. Try soul hunters, its fun. Even against the AI, I spent more than an hour playing this silly game.

With some of the most inconsistent programming in flash game history - er, excuse me, Xbox One game history - Knight Squad manages to ruin even the "time-killer" genre of console gaming. Unintuitive controls make for a chaotic scramble to be the winner, and on lower AI difficulty settings, the actual difficulty can be as random as a tree deciding which acorns to drop. - LAN/online play with friends can be exciting, not having to deal with an apparent God Mode suddenly being bestowed upon a bot. But even then, why not utilize more than 1 button and 1 stick on the controller? Were they going for a minimalistic record? - The single-player challenges are beyond difficult, made impossibly worse with the random timing and actions of the AI. For some reason, the devs randomized a lot of the attributes to enemy bullets, leading to an entirely luck-based condition of victory. - All in all, this game reminds me a lot of some flash games I've played. The challenges resemble a bullet hell/RPG-style game, while the massive inconsistencies in them serve only to ruin the reminiscent experience of either classic genre. I find that this game would greatly benefit from the use of the right analog stick as an aimer. If that one hiccup had been considered, and more time were dedicated to controls (there are only two of them!), perhaps I could give this game a higher score than a generous 2 out of 10, but that control alone would barely add just one extra point.
