If the idea of gunning down bad guys while kickflipping through the sky doesn’t appeal, then there’s nothing in Echo Point Nova that’s going to convert someone. For me, though, Echo Point Nova does exactly what it says on the tin and excels at it — and honestly, that’s enough to keep me coming back with each update to maintain my 100% completion.

Echo Point Nova lets you play by your own rules in its open world. It surprises with an excellent sound design, fluid movement, enjoyable gunplay, and how seamlessly all these elements come together without wasting your time. It never loses momentum and entertains like few other shooters, thanks to the combination of seemingly disparate features that create a unique and engaging mix.

High speed and great movement mechanics makes Echo Point Nova a joy to play as you leap between floating islands and clear battle arenas high in the sky.

A fun and exhilarating shooter with lots of satisfying movement and gunplay. Grapple, multi-jump, and "wind-ability-that-launches-you" around an open world with a few different environments. One of those games that gives you the ability to fast travel, but the movement feels so good that you just take the long way around. A good selection of weapons that all feel good and are fun to use. The bosses all work very well with the high mobility and were very fun fights. Also liked the music. The graphics may feel "indie", but don't let that take away from a very well put together experience that is just a great time to play. Took a little over 12 hours to 100% the game (which included the rouge-like mode that felt a bit tacked on), but it felt like money well spent.

Awesome movement and combat system. Great choice of weapons, although they don't feel significantly different. The environment is what does most of the heavy lifting. It does get repetitive after a while, but the combat is just so fun, that jumping back after a few days is seamless. I just wish the shooting or the enemies had a bit more depth, right now most enemies don't require specific strategies. Your strategy is basically moving as erratically as possible, because enemies are hard and predict your movements fairly well. Unfortunately, the game doesn't introduce enough new stuff and runs out of steam before the halfway point. The new weapons don't feel significant and the upgrades are unnoticeable. Sadly, this drops a great game into the "good" pile.

Oh lord does this game have good movement mechanics. And the gunplay is sublime (and im playing on a gamepad). Platforming and exploring the world is very fun. The gameplay basically revolves around exploring an open world where there are Combat challenges spread out across it. It's simple but very effective. I have only noticed two tiny visual glitches that only lasted a second, otherwise it's bug free. I have not tried co-op but I can imagine that the game is even more fun like that! The only negative I have to say about this game is that the story seems kinda bare-bones so far (I've only gotten like 50% through so far though). Overall definitely up there with the best games i've played this year!

9.5: Echo Point Nova is a fast paced, movement-based, open world shooter. It combines elements of platforming, high-octane racing, and responsive shooting as you explore an open, nearly fully destructible world. It is a fantastic and unique experience. I ran into a few glitches and 1 or 2 crashes, but no progress was lost. It is a fantastic and highly unique experience
