Officially localized three decades after the original release, Clock Tower: Rewind is a perfectly passable way to experience what was once officially a Japan-exclusive piece of horror history. This is the real, first Clock Tower experience warts and all, along with a smattering of goodies that will delight longtime fans – even if it feels like an inconsistent package throughout.
Clock Tower: Rewind is for fans of old horror games in general and the Clock Tower series in particular. The original was great, but the developers of the Rewind edition made no effort to improve the graphics and sound.
Survival horror adventure in a new guise that takes you back to the genre's beginnings. It still has a lot to offer, but overall it has received only minor changes and improvements.

Clock Tower: Rewind is one of the most important survival horror games in history, and this edition finaly brings it to occident traduced to many languages. It offers many endings that will make you achieve that Platinum that so many people look after in a game. His music and sound effects are great, considering that this was released for the Super Famicom, they nail the panic feeling that Jennifer Simpson, the protagonist is feeling in this creepy adventure.

neat game but damn it was VERY short, pretty sure my final play time was about an hour and a half, I liked it for the same reasons I liked haunting ground

It has not aged impeccably and does not instill fear and tension as it did 29 years ago. However, in this new, rich edition, Rewind Clock Tower is still an enjoyable survival horror, original in its own way and widely replayable.

The goals of Clock Tower Rewind are clear: to allow anyone to experience one of the most significant horror adventures of its time and to offer bonus content that is as interesting as it is valuable from a historical point of view. Even though it is an experience of its time, Clock Tower proves that it can still exert a certain charm, also thanks to its atmosphere.

The newest iteration of the original Clock Tower offers some welcome improvements, such as a rewind feature and the ability to save at any time. However, it remains a game of its era, which will probably feel dated to newer gamers.

Clock Tower Rewind brings the cult classic horror game to western shores for the first time with some added convenience features and bonuses to boot. However, the game's intrinsic point and click adventure game DNA feels outdated and flawed. If you don't mind using a guide to help in your pixel hunt and solve archaic solutions, this remaster of one of the most influential horror games of the 90s comes recommended.
