Caligo is a bizarre walking simulator that tries something new. The morbid and surreal approach is impressive and I enjoyed the colourful and interesting world. However, it is very short and this prevents it from excelling.

Caligo does a good job at taking you on a journey, but the lack of any other gameplay choices could be a bit off-putting. The themes of the narrative can be quite deep too, at times overplayed, however, Caligo is certainly a game that will stick in the mind long after play.

Caligo est une œuvre singulière, qui mise tout sur l’ambiance et la réflexion. Son approche minimaliste séduira les amateurs de jeux contemplatifs, mais son rythme très lent, son absence de traduction française et son manque d’interactivité risquent de rebuter une large partie du public. Une expérience courte, parfois touchante, mais qui aurait gagné à être plus accessible et plus dynamique.
