Erin Keane

Following Robin Wright through this season as she reveals Claire slowly and deliberately is worth a binge.

This haunting period thriller is the latest adaptation of Wilkie Collins' 1859 novel. ... Though set in the 19th century, it offers a timely indictment of cultural forces that privilege powerful men at the expense of women to this day.

The series promises to be a fitting showcase for Shipka's considerable talent, as her Sabrina balances strength and vulnerability--earnestly and conflictedly in love with the world, justice, and with her own nascent powers--with inimitable style.

Both storylines come with moments of triumph and disappointment for the respective teams in season 2, but it's Zellner's case, with its bloody reenactments, science experts and her fascinating and relentless brain at work, that will keep viewers in their chairs.
