Brief flashes of fun as the male lead but otherwise this is a mediocre hack'n'slasher that's only worth grabbing when on sale & even then you're better of getting something else

The culmination of years of perfection by FromSoftware. Brutal, challenging & punishing. Yet also fair & easier than what came before, thanks to more options made available that the layer has to find & actively use. PC version's only real marring quality is it's stability, requiring waiting for the game to warm up before you stop seeing hitches in the frame rate or brief pauses. But even then they don't go away.

The love child of Hotline Miami & Mirrors Edge if it was raised by a Japanese family in the 80's

A boomer shooter that rode the coat tails of DOOM 2016 & more true to the spirit of the 90's era of FPS games. Only hampered by graphics that make the world feel more like a Masters of the Universe playset & it's short length.

An interesting mix of Dawn of War 2, Doom & XCOM with fun difficulty modifiers that pulls it all off; mostly. It's biggest flaw being a drip feed of content that makes the game feel easier & more anemic from the get go than it actually is

So far my only real complaint is with the default sound settings. Music & sound effects are too low but can be easily fixed in the options menu. Everything else I've seen of this game so far has been a positive . The story is suitably creepy & full of interesting mystery, what else would you expect from the writer of Corpse Party . Combat is unique & allows for strategy & rewards forethought . English voice acting is good . Graphics are good . Uncensored (you can see the main characters panties in dungeons if you angle the character properly :D) . My only issue with performance has been either the game freezing, when I want to exit to desktop from the main menu, or the mouse popping up in combat when I'm using a controller Overall it comes off like a Persona 4 or 5 that was allowed to go bananas with it's darker moments & subject matter
