The card design has significantly degraded, and the readability is terrible. The pacing is faster now, but that’s not what I’m looking for in a board game.

The game relies heavily on paid DLC for characters and stages, leaving the base roster far too small. The World Tour mode is filled with boring fetch quests, making it tedious to play. On top of that, the character designs feel like a downgrade compared to previous games in the series.

Progressing through nearly identical locations makes the game feel repetitive. Being instantly killed when caught by enemies forces frequent restarts, which is frustrating. The lack of clear story explanation only adds to the confusion.

The newly introduced racket techniques mainly focus on setting traps, which feels more distracting than fun. The story mode relies heavily on uninteresting mini-games, and overall, the price feels too steep for a tennis title.

Despite being a remake of an action game depicting the Japanese yakuza, the game suffers from overly long cutscenes and too many chore-like sections, which seriously hurt the pacing. The action itself is dull and lacks any real sense of exhilaration, making it easy to lose interest.
