I am not able to play with anyone, friends, quickplay, and lobbies don't work. This worked the day I bought the game and for 1 hour a few days ago over the course of 2 weeks. I have not been able to play the game, other than solo which the game is NOT tuned for at all, it's a bad experience. I have spent hours of miserable troubleshooting and reading guides to "fix" the issue but nothing ever fixes it. All my other online and multiplayer games work fine with no issues at all, just this game multiplayer is broken. If the networking and lobby/social issues are fixed so I can play with other people and my friends I will adjust this review, but for now as this is a squad based game not being able to play with others is GAME BREAKING and the game deserves no points, it is unplayable and solo play is a trash gaming experience. 0/10 - should not have launched in this condition.

This is a fun Diablo game. Simple addictive Action RPG with lots to do in a HUGE world. 5 interesting characters that all play well and are fun to build. It's online but I feel like I can play it solo with no issues. World boss appears, just go and fight it, other people are there - no looking for group or setting up a party, or loot management, just go smack on the big boss and get your unique loot drops. I've played pretty much every big Action RPG out there and I can certainly recommend Diablo 4. I can't wait for season 1 in July.

This game has some great graphics and music. But everything else ranges from mediocre to disastrous. The controls feel stiff, sometimes feeling sluggish other times just not responding to your input at all. I think this is by design but it's terrible and feels bad. Everything is frustrating. You tilt, you stumble, you fall, you get stuck on rocks, packages fall off you, the enemies knock your packages off, you fall in water, you slide down slopes, vehicles stick slide bonce and defy physics constantly. The UI is a complete mess and an insult to user interface design. You have to press buttons repeatedly to do anything. Animations play constantly and you have to repeatedly skip them. Some you can't skip and they are forced on you by an overly egotistical game designer. Nothing is fast or smooth. It's always slow, bumpy, frustrating, and too much. The combat is boring even on hard. There's no challenge at all. The boss fights are auto win they are so easy. The story is nonsense and it's told in a very repetitive manner, so many times I was just begging for them to get on with it so I could do something, even if the something was playing this boring game. Of the thousands of games I've played (yes, thousands) this is in my bottom 5%, and for games I've completed, it's in my bottom 5. And yes, it really is that bad.

Incredibly fun game. 4 character classes, dozens of weapons for your load out. And it's really cool, like creepy looking. The game is challenging on higher difficulties, which also stress your gear and strength, but drop better loot as a reward. It's fun shooting giant bugs and stuff. Like a star ship troopers game or something. SO MANY LEVELS, it's way bigger than you think! Fun voice overs, it gets really hilarious! If you can find it for $20 or less it's a steal!

I recently started playing this game (30 days in, about 100 hours of playtime) so I don't have personal history of what it has gone through, but wow is it underrated. This game is an absolute blast particularly if you like marvel characters. There's lots of content, a full 9 chapter story mode with comic book style cinematics, boss run modes called "terminals", Challenge modes which are survival waves and an open area with events that spawn every few minutes and random spawning packs mobs, a good handful of hub areas to chill out in, a raid zone, weekly events with special items and bonuses, 2 short story areas, and more coming. Not to mention 38 heroes (at the time of writing) with more on the way already announced. There are also LOTS of villains to fight and many will soon be playable! This game plays like an action RPG similar to a Diablo/Torchlight/Titan Quest game, but with marvel heroes and super hero powers. It's free to play, but there are a lot of micro-transactions. Thankfully, you can get most of the things free using in game currency like new heroes and team ups. The one thing you may end up spending cash on is to increase your storage space. You get on box/page for free plus what your hero and hold and some space for your team up (even if you don't have a team up you can still use their inventory space). But if you play for a while you'll probably end up wanting more to hold all your phat loot :). Graphics are nice, some of the ability effects are really crazy - great eye candy, while some of the environment are a bit mediocre the new content looks really amazing (Odin's Palace is beautiful). The character voices are amazing - really well done and the concessional interactions with other characters is often hilarios - for example sometimes when Rocket Racoon gets near Iron Man hes says something like "Do you think I could get on of those in my size?" and Cyclops will ask "Staying out of trouble Gambit? Didn't think so." Makes the characters feel more lifelike. Anyways give it a shot, lots of fun - don't let the old reviews spoil it, this game is amazing.

I have had more fun with this game than other other game I can remember in recent times, it is a stellar ARPG for a ridiculous budget. If you played the first this is a must buy. If you haven't played the first one it's still a fantastic game if you like games similar to diablo, titan quest, or torchlight, but I highly recommend the first game as well. I did picked this up recently and I'm not seeing all the bugs other reviewers have mentioned. I've had a couple of crashes to desktop but the save system has ensured I've never lost a minute of progress, just had to restart the game. I love the story. The character voice acting and interactions are top notch - better than most AAA games. The plot is engaging and fun and keeps the player invigorated to complete the next objective. The music is PERFECT, I love the music in this game. The graphics are cool, lots of eye candy spell effects explosions and very nice animations. It is fantastically deep, re-playable, and has a fun endgame. You can specialize your character or respect into different builds, you can specialize your ghost companion, you can modify, enhance, and craft your items - in fact it has one of my favorite item crafting systems because it uses a number of different modifiers but each one is simple. Want an enchantment? Pay gold to the enchanter and get a random enchantment. Don't like that one? Remove it and pay for a new one! Quite easy, and when you do have the enchantment that you want and get a low roll, that's OK! Reroll to get a higher value (at the cost of gold)! Of course, you'll need lots gold, lol, which you get by playing the storyline, scenarios, or online. I also have to give a shout out to loot explosion lovers like myself. This is the first game in a long time that genuinely gets me excited about loot explosions. Sure, the mobs drop and plop the loot but you also get a chimera that you send on missions, when he comes back you get a loot explosion from whatever he gathered (usually 5+ rares on the higher missions). In the endgame you can do scenarios which drop lots of loot themselves, but you also randomly get keys that let you open up chests in your secret lair that - yes, give you loot explosions and chests can be reopened for each key you have!. It's so satisfying. I would pay $50.00 for this game, fortunately I only paid $15.00 and picked up the additional scenario for $5.00 which is rather short but I enjoyed it - a game lovers bargain for sure. I seriously can't recommend this game enough.

I played this game using a keyboard and a gamepad (xbox pad) and the controls are poor - responsiveness is stiff and delayed in both cases but I found it to be a little easier to play with a gamepad due to the funky keys/combination presses and holds you need to use. There are bugs, really crazy bugs. The game crashed twice on me in my single play through and several times I would start floating through the level ending up in random locations. Also, sometimes when an area loaded I would not be able to control the character at all except for moving around (no shooting/jumping/flashlight/stealth/etc.). The puzzles are basic - use a thing on this thing to get to the next place. It never really goes beyond that but due to level design you often need to walk around looking for the thing or the place to use the thing for a long time, backtracking is often needed. The combat is not as good as I was lead to believe. You have a gun, just one, as your weapon and there's only a few different enemy types in the whole game. You can also stealth, but you can't move when stealth. It feels very lacking. The game is short. Really short, which is good because if the boring combat and tedious puzzles went on much longer I think I would have just quit. The only really good part of the game is the story and the voice acting, which is excellent except for 3 tremendous flaws. It is absolutely linear which is fine, but you are given "choices" that aren't choices - you must take one specific action to move forward - don't present false choices to me. The overall plot is obvious. Finally, the game/story is incomplete - WAAAAAY incomplete. It felt like just when I was ready for the real story to come into play, it was suddenly over. Booooo! There's very little redeeming value here, I picked it up on a steam sale and it still wasn't worth it. Fellow game player, don't make the mistake I've already payed for. Move on, find better games and adventures out there in the digisphere.

This game isn't for me, too much time investment and grinding for very little reward. I've never been a fan of rogue-like games so if you're reading this review and you tend not to like rogue like games you might want to pass. If you do like rogue like games and wish they had crafting then hey, this is probably going to be a great game for you. I'll stick with Terraria/Starbound/Minecraft/etc. to fill my sandbox needs which are in my opinion superior to this game in every way. There are way more 10's given to this game than it deserves.

Many of these reviews are dated, this game has changed and added content over the years and is far superior to the original release. I started playing at the end of 2009 and I've played off and on since then and it gets better with each season/update/release. I've played lots of multi-player online battle arena (MOBA) style games and this is my favorite - that includes dota/dota2, Hon, demigod, among others (although those are all good games, I just like LoL more). There are over 100 champions to pick from (109 as of this writing). There are many game modes, normal games, draft, ranked, 5v5, 3v3, and Domination. Current it is expected that an all random single lane map will become a standard mode which is currently available in custom games right now. Tournaments are very exciting to watch and many pro teams around the world compete. It's very easy to watch a pro player stream to improve your game. Honor, Tribunal, and a quality dedication from riot has GREATLY decreased the players who ruin games (trolls, racists, flamers, afker's) while these still exists (as they do in any multi player game) it is much better, and one of the better gaming experiences I've had in a long time. And it's free. If you haven't played it before or if you have played it a long time ago check it out now!

This game is a solid 9/10. It's has a great epic adventure, side quests, fun itemization (far better than Diablo 3 IMO), good action/battle system, lots of fun boss fights, good cut scenes, puzzles, exploration, amenities like fast travel, horse combat, collectibles, power ups, leveling, and dual skill trees for a highly customizable experience. Great graphics which are truly outstanding in some areas, a FANTASTIC sound track, Oh, and it's fun! With so many positives come some flaws, it's not perfect but ANY gamer who likes action/adventure should STRONGLY consider picking this up. Negatives on the PC include the controls which are a bit difficult at times. Aiming mode is odd for example. Some settings are missing and you can tell it's a port (but I really didn't feel like I needed them). You can you use an xbox controller, sure, but I used keyboard mouse - I have an xbox controller just didn't feel the need it here personally, and it was fine to finish the game for me. Honestly I liked that all the abilities are available by keypress 0-9+ since I'm used to that from PC gaming. If you like games such as Zelda, Fable, Kingdoms of Amalur, Fallout 3, Diablo, Prince of Persia, etc. and want something similar but maybe a bit darker then definitely get this game.
