Video jigsaw detective game. Superb story. Great acting. Even better than Her Story.

Once I've started, I like to finish games. I was 54 hours into this game, but the monastery sequence was so crushingly dull I had to quit. It's a beautiful game with a consistent and realistic world. The plot is generally strong with some great acting, but the design is too hardcore. How can you ask people to spend 20 minutes getting RSI picking herbs? Also the combat is horrible. Too laggy to fit the design. The director of this game needed to be told to half the time of the game and cut out the fiddly nonsense to focus on the beautiful world and strong plot. Left me frustrated and disappointed.

The Walking Dead: Michonne - A Telltale Miniseries8
Jul 14, 2017
67% is harsh. It's just as good looking as the other Walking Dead games and the plot is just as strong. It's not as novel, but it's still consistently gritty. I liked Michonne, a strong lead. Strong and capable, but human and haunted. Relatable and sympathetic. Definitely worth your time, especially if you can get it cheaply.

I was frustrated half way into this game. Rural Shropshire is stunning and the writing and acting are superb, but the 1 mph walking speed ruined it for me. I had not realised that you run by holding down the shift key for several seconds, it's not an instant sprint. In the end I followed the instructions at the PC Gaming Wiki and downloaded an app called Cheat Engine that let me sprint at three times speed by pressing shift. Once I did this the game became bearable. The game is more work than it should be, but the powerful ending makes up for the earlier frustrations. It's an emotional, sophisticated piece of art. Reminded me of a Radio 4 play, although sometimes it came close to The Archers. Definitely worth persevering with, but they really should fix the running speed.

If you like Dark Souls, you will like Dragon's Dogma; if you don't, you won't. Too unforgiving for my taste and patience. Shame as the combat is superb.

Horrible controls. My hands were hurting after 5 minutes. Such a shame I couldn't finish as it's very cute and original. Uses vertigo to good effect.

I am getting on for 1000 hours in DOTA 2. My perfect game. Strategic and tactical teamwork. Solo queuing is a nightmare. Join a guild with a Mumble server and you'll have a lot of fun.
