DOOM: The Dark Ages - Revelations10
Jul 15, 2026
You are a studio that creates masterpieces in the singleplayer FPS genre. You've created a DLC with a breathtaking art direction, incredible levels and fantastic, engaging gameplay that blends the best elements of the last two games. All that plus awesome story with stellar soundtrack and tons of content. What do you get as a reward? Ask microsoft...

An abomination that has nothing to do with the original legendary Painkiller.

Dissapointing and lackluster. Totally unnecessary RPG elements and wasted Esposito talent.

Pure and unrestrained adrenaline rush with a legendary destruction system. I don't think that there is a racing game that gives you more pure fun than this one.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human5

Parkour is better than before, and the combat feels meaty and satisfying. However, everything else completely falls apart. This installment puts more emphasis on the narrative side and fails miserably at it. The characters and dialogue are terribly written, and the story is unengaging and painfully predictable. The quests are overwhelmingly basic fetch quests, the atmosphere is gone, and to make matters worse, the boss fights are awfuL (featuring one of the worst final battles in history).

A simpler title and noticeably weaker than its successors in some aspects — but still a incerdibly good, old-school FPS.

What more can I say? Simply a masterpiece through and through, and a true love letter to the franchise. My favorite FPS of all time.

DOOM: The Dark Ages10

Id Software returns with the legendary DOOM, once again changing the gameplay formula, and man, did they deliver. This game is absolutely insane, and massive respect goes to the whole team for taking a risk instead of making a safe sequel. The new approach to gameplay truly makes you feel powerful, worthy of the Slayer's name, and the introduced shield works fantastically in practice. Every weapon feels incredibly powerful and brings something unique to the experience, making each gun genuinely useful. The movement feels slightly slow when you compare it to DOOM:Eternal but is still very fast and hella satysfiyng. I'm really impressed with how id Software has evolved in terms of storytelling. There was already significant progress visible in DOOM: Eternal, but what they've accomplished here is absolutely hats off. Personally, I expect epic scale from a DOOM story and that's exactly what I got here. The cutscenes are excellently directed and look truly cinematic, perfectly complementing the gameplay to create an epic experience. As with every installment, the absolutely brilliant level design deserves praise, along with the design of characters and enemies. They look fantastic as they’re stripped of piece after piece. All of it is wrapped in a very good, though not quite as legendary as before, soundtrack by Finishing Move. The addition of a mech was also a brilliant move. Piloting it and demolishing Titans is incredibly fun. Of course, the fantastic boss fights must be mentioned as well. At the end of the day, this is another incerible entry in a legendary series. An intense adrenaline rush that gives you chills and a wide smile on your face throughout the entire experience. One of the best FPS games ever.
