Spirit City: Lofi Sessions

Personally, Spirit City: Lofi Sessions just isn't for me. I'm sure the developers have spent a lot of time on this game, after all the person who owns it through my Steam Family has over 32hrs on it, but for me I don't really see the point in it. It's essentially a customisable LoFi Beats video, which is of course fine to do but I don't see the justification of paying £10 GBP to do that. I am absolutely supportive of paying the developers, they seem to have done a genuinely great job on the visuals, animations, customisations etc, but I do just wish it had more substance from what I saw. Granted, I have played less than 10 minutes, but I feel like I saw all I needed to see in that 10 minutes. The only "game" bit about it to me is collecting different Spirits, but it doesn't justify the price tags or big number of DLCs for me. If this is your type of game, thats great. It's just not for me. Personally, I would rate this game a 2/10, but I'm aware I'm likely not the target audience. I'd rather either play my own Spotify playlist or go onto one of the countless LoFi live streams on YouTube.

Just Act Natural

Just Act Natural is an overall fun game, although it doesn't have much replayability as a party game should, only being a viable game night option for one night, just to not be touched again. But that's not a bad thing! It's not a problem at all because of how much love has went into the game, with all models being hand-crafted, a fun variety of game modes and overall good graphics, controls and gameplay. It's a genuinely fun party game, however it shines in short bursts. Like I mentioned before, it more likely than not would be played in one 6hr session every couple months or in one year gaps. I can only see this game being the most enjoyable in the group of 4+, as 2 players could get boring pretty quickly. I last played this game in December 2023, and I did purchase the DLC, which made the experience really fun! I'm not sure how locked features are currently, but I think the game is absolutely playable without DLC. It does seem that as of December 2024 the game developers have abandoned the game for updates, but it seems they're still making games which is great, since their talent should not go unwasted! Being a free game, I do recommend Just Act Natural, even if its only with 2 players. It's a good couple hours of fun, and a fun game! The DLC is not too expensive, and I'd assume there are more game modes which makes the £5.79 GBP price worth the unlock. I'd rate Just Act Natural a solid 8/10 for a party game!

Honestly this game is super fun! I last played this game over a year ago, but I have really good memories of it. I never played it as its main focus due to the nature of it being a cleaning/repair simulation game, but it's great for playing while winding down and relaxing for a while. There's so much you can do in this game already, and I haven't bought the DLCs but from skimming it does look like it adds a lot more content too! Overall, I'd rate House Flipper a solid 7/10, my only downside being the lack of updates (e.g. multiplayer being restricted to HF2). While I do think House Flipper is worth its price tag, this game goes on sale so often (sometimes even free) that it's worth starting your new phase once it goes on sale next. Plus, the DLCs as a package are super cheap too (at the time of writing, The Flipper Bundle went from £68.88 -> £26.10 (62% off) ) if you're having fun and willing to splurge!
