I give it a two for being colorful I had high hopes for this game ... correction for this snake simulator. The game's slogan is "think like a snake". If being a snake is this horrible in real life I rather not. Initially, I was brought in by the colorful graphics and the promise of a collectathon game in the spirit of banjo kazooie. And although those aspects are present, what ultimately is its downfall are the controls. Before I get into the game's most frustrating feature, I want to mention the beautiful world this game contains. The graphics and levels are full of detailed landscapes that would please any banjo-kazooie fan. They are awesomely drawn and the level design is top level stuff. With that said, navigating these levels is the most frustrating time I've ever had in a platformer. It also doesn't help that the camera tends to get in your way and shift erratically during times where a death includes the loss of all the items you've just collected. The controls and the camera work together to unfairly bring you to your demise time and time again. To the point where I had to stop playing because it just wasn't fun anymore. A game works when it's challenging but fair and skill takes a big role. Here, I played for 10 hours and my skill or understanding of the controls didn't help me and instead I was punished by horrible control design and odd camera placement. It's a shame because this game had so much potential but it was ruined by a control scheme that makes little sense to gamers other than those who developed the game. Hopefully, there will be a new version of the game that includes revamped controls or maybe even an option to choose between "snake" controls and controls that make sense

First off I want to say this game was addicting and fun. the 5 i gave it comes from the fact that there is only 3 trophies to win as part of the campaign. Also, since camelot was involved in developing the game I thought there would be much more leveling up components but all there is are some different clothes that increase very little of your golfers attributes. After the campaign there is online but it gets old, and online tournaments are a dead end (master gamers whose score is -24 will always win the prize). Other than that its a fun game but not really packed with content that Nintendo is known for in their games. I can see why it costs 10 bucks cheaper than their other games. I recommend buying the pysical copy in case you want to resell it. I made the mistake of buying the digital version but I beat the campaign in a couple of days.

I just finished Ryse and im just blown away. I really loved it and im playing through it again on legendary. The combat for me is fun. I never get tired of whipping my opponent through the air and dismembering him as he falls down (just one example of tons of animations the developers have created). The brutality of the out come of a perfect parry and fighting several opponents at once is rewarding (you can't see that finisher animation if you get hit or keeping slashing without looking out for prompts). The only gripe I have is that the enemies repeat themselves so you end up fighting the same looking dude a lot of times or even two at once. Multiplayer is fun as heck. Character development for the campaign is a bit shallow but multiplayer's leveling up is addicting and being able to upgrade your character with gold is well done (although micro-transactions cheapen the feel a bit). Im confused about reviewers giving it such a low score but you really must try it. I guess perhaps being a fan of roman lore helped me get into it much more than others.

so let me just start by saying that if you are not a wrestling fan then you will more than likely not like this game no matter what you hear about it. The attitude era that fans know and love is what makes wwe 13 great. it's fun to relive those moments and discover some you may not have remembered. wwe 12 succeeds in strides from its predessesors in terms of storyline. Having the attitude era as the backbone of the game is a smart decision by the developers because quite simply the past wwe games have failed miserably in this department. Gameplay is unchanged from wwe 12. in case you havent played last years, the mechanics are a bit frustrating at first but after a couple of matches the controls click. for example: A button is used grapple, from the grapple position you can choose to switch to another position by flicking the right thumbstick. from there you can perform various moves by using the left thumbstick together with the A button. There is tons of unlockables that will keep the hardcore fans entertained for months. Not to mention having online play to keep the game spinning on your xbox till next year. Online play has some matchmaking issues that hopefully will be fixed soon via a patch. So wrestling fans if you have the cash buy this game without hesitating as you well not regret it. If you are not a wrestling fan i suggest waiting or just renting it as you will probably not have enough patience for the learning curve of the game.

Silent Hill: Downpour

I just finished downpour and the story is still with me. Playing this game made me have nightmares but it was one hellava fun time playing through this. The story begins with a shocking scene that I won't ruin for you but its uncomfortable to play through which sets the tone for the rest of the game. Silent hill feels more the way it did in silent hill 2, feeling isolated and alone . Atmosphere is top notch and you can easily lose yourself in this environment both literally and figuratively which adds a little to the frustration but hardcore gamers will be ok with it. In a nod to old school silent hill the map is a must and exploration becomes key. There are also side quests that have very interesting stories behind them. The game is glitched however so be sure to install a patch through xbox live. One such glitch actually ended my game and I had to start over. The biggest dissappointment for me was the lack of different monsters . I got tired of fighting the same crazy lady over and over again. The story however makes up for the lack of enemy variety and the immersion and entertainment this game provides is worth your hardearned money just leave the lights on!

Silent Hill HD Collection

Arguably the greatest survival horror franchise just got ten times better. Fans of the series especially those who have been there since the beginning are going to fall in love with this game. New voice actors that add so much to the story and hd graphics are the ultimate nod to silent hill buffs. While seasoned vets will love this collection, players whove barely entered the fray are going to have a hard time using last gen controls. But give it a chance and silent hill will **** you in with story elements that were ahead of its time and atmosphere that will have you checking under your bed at night. Buy this game its worth more then the 40 bucks it costs !!
