10/10 with all the updates and dlc. the gameplay loop of dropping in with weapons and orbital drops and destroying objectives before extracting is intoxicating.I love the upgrade progression too even though it can cost money to unlock. Not every game is for everyone, but this one is for me. Gets my blood pumpin

You have to know what you're getting into. This game isn't for everyone. But for those it IS made for they will love it. It's rpg boiled down to the best part, feedback loops of better gear, exploration, learning enemies. I do think they are a few things that need to change and then it would be a definite 10. I would like an in-game guide to the monsters, but most importantly some of the crazy "gotchas" that almost reset your game with bo warning (going into debt, losing your party, monsters that one hit your entire party with no warning). Yeah the difficulty is good but a few parts ARE too hard. I hope they change some of the harder "gotchas". I'm assuming they will update this and then it'll be a 10. I hope the devs are listening and going to update the game with QoL improvements. Until then, save scum! Which is t not my favorite thing to do but in not averse to it. I just wish I had better options to avoid the "gotchas".

Shin megami demons! And persona 5 comic book flair! This game has got it all. I usually HATE these types of games. Even the Zelda one was boring on the 3ds

I'm reviewing the updated version with free DLC (and more is coming) but most importantly lots of patches and gameplay improvements. I think if this version released it would be getting 8s and some 9s even. The dlc is perfect btw, especially because it's free and adds a decent amount

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon7

Wow. I LOVE this game. $15 for the best far cry, in high rez. But there's one MAJOR problem. The controls. Specifically the aiming. It's the worst of any FPS. It feels like I'm playing in the cloud. When you aim it takes a FULL SECOND to respond.

Okay number one thing for me is fun to play. Yes many games have fancy graphics or deep rpg systems, but that just peaks my eye. It's like a pretty woman, her attractiveness gets you to talk to her but what she is on the inside and what she has to say determines whether you stick around.
And this game wants you to stick around. I got into the game for the sleak medieval hand painted (on a tablet) graphics, the cool little animal world, the brutal medieval setting, and the general description and reviews.
Whether or not that's a game for me depends on the gameplay and the gameplay loop. While it isn't the deepest RPG out there (in recommend the newly released and underrated Astria Ascending, which has a patch that fixes most of its issues now), this action adventure (not an rpg like I initially hoped for) has a lot going for it gameplay wise.
The "feel" of the game is immediate. There's some weight and jeft to it, but not too much (thank god). Like dark souls, and more specifically Salt and Sanctuary in the weight of the character and movement response.
But here's the kicker. Here's why you should by. Personally, I'm playing this a stonedypoo (lgl here). And I wanted a game that wasn't too hard to grasp, to pull off, but still with consequences, strategy and skill. You will die, but it's not a 3 hit game like dark souls, and you can heal quicker and easier, but it's still easy to get out of rhythm or pace and youll take some serious damage. Block, counter and dodge are the name of the game. And the graphics are bloody, sharp, and generally interesting. It feels heavy slightly but still fun. With a general equipment and upgrade system. Nothing too deep but not bad either. It's easy to grasp at least.
For 25 bucks i paid full price. I'm glad I did. Especially when it's cheap I like to give the developer the full cost to support them, although I do try to buy all my games on sale a few months after they are out and patched. But some are so cheap and I think I'll like do buy "new". That's the best way to vote for a sequel, which I want. This and darkest dungeon 2 please.

I'd say this is an 8 for most people but it's a 9 for me. I love the realistic sound of the the, the actual feel and gunplay is the best of any shooter, I think the amount of bullets to kill is perfect, there's LOTS and LOTS of guns with tons of accessories, IR laser lights ftw, runs great as of current patch on PS4 pro, looks great, loads of maps, a great few classic counterstrike modes plus a fun one with some haoween zombies ai in the dark. It's a bug hunt! Yeah this was originally a hl2 that was free. Looked the same, okayed the same, a more serious gunplay but not TOO serious. If cod was a 5 of 1o ok the seriousness scale I'd give this a 7.5 maybe an 8. It's not too arcadey which I like but it's JUST a notch or two under too hard or not fun. Definitely worth 4o if you want to support them, they have new content coming, or if you're a shooter fan in need of something new. A full fledged MP shooter with tons of guns maps accessories yes please. If it's for sale for like 20 you'd be missing out big-time on a late cycle release.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 210
Jun 5, 2021
There's so much to this game. I'd give it a 9 but since it's only $40 it's an easy 10 for value. The only thing missing is airplanes and choppers going overhead to sync/mask your shots on loud rifles. I love the story, killing Mid east dictators is my bread and butter. Long range shots with range and gravity is very satisfying. There's lots of great weapons and customization, great gadgets (the remote sniper system is awesome) and guess what? So far zero bugs and I'm halfway through the game. That's a big deal for these more "budget" games but honestly i keep forgetting this isn't a $60 AAA title other than having "only" 6 missions. I love Contracts 1 especially for the winter theme and now I have a desert theme. These 2 games together are some of my favorite. I stayed away for a long time due to the budget price and early version bugs but that was really dumb of me. The DLC is good as well, I got the deluxe version after having so much fun with the dlc frim contracts 1. 9/10 for great gameplay and story, but since it's only 40 it's an easy 10 (especially with lack of bugs). If you even think you might like this BUY IT. I've only recently started buying games for full price (i can afford it now) because there are some devs i think deserve full support and these guys do it. All try Rebellions Zombie Army 4 that has great sniping as well. If i could wish for 1 thing it would be to add more bass to the sniper sounds sometimes and also a DLC pack with 2 more levels for 15 bucks. Btw i played on PS4 pro was graphics in my eyes are top notch. Great textures, large levels with lots of details especially on terrain and the frame rate was perfect. I do wish the enemy AI was notch better but it's still great. I wish they had ways to mask the sound when i fired with airplanes but I've already said that. Also wish when i fired long distance and there weren't sniper it would take longer to find me but it's a game and it needs to kinda be this way. For example when i clear an outpost in real life the next outpost would be on high alert but this is for fun and that's what this game does. It's semi realistic fun. For $40. I've had more fun for 40 than many games for 60. Good job devs. Rarely do I get my money's worth (so far this year RE8 was perfect, biomutant was great and Disco Elysium was really good. Only outriders was kinda hit and miss, and Disco and Outriders were so buggy the game wouldn't run without crashing for a month or two, no crashes here) I almost forgot to mention there is a very nice amount of rpg style progression through earning money, finding Intel and eliminating bounties. I need this usually to drive me to progress and give me a sense of strength as I earn new weapons, gadgets and playstyles.

Game took me 25 hours and i still missed 2 major treasures. GOTY. Amazing graphics, 60 fps, good exploration, great monsters. Seriously it's the closest thing to a perfect game since Super Mario RPG or Half Life. It's on my top 3 with those

Biomutant10
May 26, 2021
Game is perfect for me at least. My son loves it too. It's not too hard but still has lots of depth. It's also the right length. Not 60 hours and full of junk like AC Valhalla. I hope there's a sequel. This, along with RE8, were two great choices for preorder in my eyes. I got burned on outriders (it wouldn't run without crashing for 2 months). If you think you will like this game get it. The gameplay is exactly what it looks like. I have zero complaints. I especially love the goofy characters, the way they talk, the way they look, and the crafting system is so cool. Toilet plunger stapled to a butcher knife? Check. Magic? Check. Upgrade systems galore :). I've never seen a game so panned that i liked. Usually critic reviews guide me but i think this is an 8.5 out of 10, but my son thinks it's an 11 so I'll compromise and rate it 10 for both of us. Get it if you can afford it or at least get it on sale in a month. Devs are also patching in new features they said. Just look at the biomutant reddit. It's full of love. Like i said, I've never disagreed with critics so badly before. I really don't understand why they panned it because after beating RE8 i needed another good game and i definitely got it. And the fact it was made by about 20 people blows my mind. Add in the pubkishers self aware jokes and you have a recipe for a winner. 10/10 would preorder again (i RARELY say that)

Subnautica10
May 13, 2021
Easy 10 for price akone. It's subnautica in steroids, better graphics snimations sounds textured levels amazing story ends just much. There is just so much more detail. It's what a 60 game costs even though it's worth 50 and so are those games. These people are the new CD project red. Releasing GOOD games that are original and cheap but great quality. And their sequel blew it out of the park. This is a mist buy. Best preorder for 26 ever had. But it at full price and support the dev because they are giving us a deal on premium is far bug free experience. They are like a unicorn in the industry. "You guys want cheap bomb ass games?" "Hell yeah!" "Well here ya go! Oh and they don't crash or need dlc! Maybe we will add in free stuff but it's definitely a complete game. You can preorder it for $27!". Dudes are legends in the gaming industry. We should buy their stock now After resident evil right making another solid 100 from me, thst and Disco Elysium have made spring gsming great. Next week sunless skies comes out console another must buy from me. Recently we have been spoiled with good games. Biomutant is good i preordered it ,shame shame i know. It could be a buggy crashing mess. Side note, check out steep you like snowboarding to chill electro music. Also try Stellaris if you like big sim space empire warfare. My last recommendation is Blasphemous it's my goty before next year's dokm enteral which was a blessing from the literal gods. Don't miss Lara Croft 30woth dlc dungeons it's dope. Finally ion fury if you like duke nukem

Resident Evil Village10

First next gen game. The details in the environment are like the gilded age. There's just so much baroque architecture and crazy staircases and even railings look amazing. The game is perfect to me with the huge different "levels" and the hub, the classic monsters, the right amount of gunplay with exploration and puzzles. I did get stumped on a few and after 30 mins i googled the answer. Clue: look closely at the environment for paintings, graffiti, marks, etc. Just buy this game. I'd say if games ARE going to he this good i will pay friggin 70. Capcom this is a friggin masterpiece. Best game for PS5 or in the top 10 for aure on PS4. Absolutely insane. My jaw was dropped so many times. And just moved the classic monsters and horror. Masterpiece. 10/10. First time i preordered a deluxe edition and was happy! The samurai edge is dope looks dope and is a decent fun for a large part of the game. Sabes you a lot a money in-game.

Mafia III9
Apr 26, 2021
Friggin amazing story. Best story since FF15. I didn't understand how it was a mafia game until the revenge plot unfolded (doesn't take long). Amazing action sequences, amazing cars and amazing music. There are some bugs still. I noticed the sunlight and shadows going crazy sometimes. But they are rare and honestly the story is SO good it doesn't matter. You gotta be able to listen to it though, it does use the N word but that's what makes it so great. It goes where no game has gone before. You get to fight the Klan and you actually want to with all the heavy racism. I'm glad they included the racism because what makes the game. You're shown just how bad racism is and they show it well. I thought it was going to bomb or come off offensive, no it's actually deep. Buy this game. Haven't gotten to the dlc yet

Terminator: Resistance10
Apr 21, 2021
If you like terminator 2 this game is bomb as hell. Seriously it's perfect. The only criticism is that it's a $40 game. I wish they made a longer full prices $60 game. But still it's the best terminator game ever and gives fans exactly what we want. The graphics are good, the guns sound and feel good, there's a decent levelling system i wasn't expecting, the robots are smart and there's tons of variety..
I'm seriously impressed. Get it for $40 if you love terminator and want to support the developers fully so they make more games like this, but if you see it for $30 you cannot pass this up. Seriously the fan service is amazing. They need to do an aliens and then a predator game.

If you like bioshock, subnautica or my favorite Prey this game is for you. I loved the humor. I'm a Democrat but I think SJWs go too far. There's a beginning scene where a robot smokes and it asks whether this is offensive to you and if you want the game censored so you don't get triggered. I love it. The game isn't easy. It gets better as you get more stuff though. The only criticism is that it's from a first time studio, which isn't a criticism fully but you can tell the chapters aren't exactly even. It's like they ran out of time and did the third chapter as way more linear, unless that's a design decision. It's like chapter 1 is huge and ad it goes on you can tell eventually someone was like we gotta finish this thing and so they did. 10/10 for a first game from a new developer. Hopefully some latches balance out the chapters better, but for friggin $25 it's a deal. It's a really well built game for such a price and if more developers priced their games correctly like they did here the entire industry would be ten times better. Good job guys. So glad you made this.

Game is amazing if you want a fun, semi deep action game with some special powers and rpg elements with lots of loot. The shooting itself feels amazing. I'll give them that. And it's not some forever mindless grind. I enjoy this game There is a bug that is very serious right now, I'm reviewing the game as if this bug was fixed, which if you're reading this as of mid april 2021 the game shod be fixed and back at 10/10.

Disco Elysium: The Final Cut10
Apr 12, 2021
The best rpg since dragon age 1. As of patch 1.03 game is functioning almost perfectly. It's a fair price too considering this game is DEEP. It does require a high reading level, so i guess at least 12 years or older. But yeah now that the game is patched (took a couple weeks to get the worst bugs out) it's definitely a 10/10.
