Great charcters, fully fleshed out 1930 alternative history world setting, if into Xcom series and Call of Cthulhu - check this out.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon10

I have played the precursor of this game, Pixel Dungeon, for 450+ hours - and getting my hands on this new version of the game was welcomed news indeed. Same premise as before: four playable characters and ever increasing difficulty of descending dungeon levels. But more monsters, more items, more variation. If you like roguelikes, give it a go.

Into the Breach9

If you are looking for almost endless replay value, look no further. Game is basically a series of interlinked puzzles with upgradeable mechs. There is a kinda steep learning curve, but once you get the basics you start to see new possibilities emerge. If you liked FTL you are gonna enjoy this.

There is snow. There is cold. There is wind. Its not everyones cup of tea. The illustration style is moody and poetic. Walking and surviving simulator that makes you learn it the hard way.

XCOM 29

Bigger and better than Xcom1 and what is most important: more varied experience than the previous iteration of the game. Started the game with Veteran difficulty and after the first missions the challenge scales up pretty fast. But this how I like it: most of the time it is not the question who gets sacrificed for the greater good but how the lone survivor is going to cope with considerable physical and emotional trauma. The alien invasion is not a walk in the park.

Legend of Grimrock II10

Unforgiving - sure, frustrating - sometimes but always lovable. The old tabletop roleplayer in me gets his nostalgia medicine with this game: nothing is left to random dungeon generation but instead every item and location is scripted with painstaking attention to detail.

Pixel Dungeon9

Great roguelike with lots of loot to keep you coming back. After some 80h invested to the game you still keep finding new items and that linked with four different characters to choose from there are plenty of hero building options. Oldschool pixel graphics are easy on the eye and streamlined item inventory makes things manageable.

Pretty little roguelike with limited staying power but some cool moments. Graphics are cute and sugarcoated with sunday morning cartoony appearance. Six playable character classes with multiple level skills.
