An enjoyable experience that blends genres into a colorful and fun cocktail. While initial content seems to be a bit lacking, the foundations are absolutely solid: responsive movement, tight gunplay, polished settings and customization, enjoyable gameplay loop that rewards cooperation and offers some climactic clutch moments. Shines when you have a regular squad to play with, but the single player experience was also a pleasant surprise for me so far - it reminds me of the early days of Helldivers 2 where you could just get matched with some nice strangers and have a good laugh on comms for the next half hour. The progression system doesn't offer much after you unlock the ships and the playable characters, which doesn't take a lot of time tbh. I wouldn't mind if they added a weapon progression system as well later on.
