Read my monster hunter 3 ultimate review but add smother and easier multiplayer and replacing meh under water fights with every single fight being in a 3d world where almost everything can be climbed and you can take the high ground to your advantage. I thought the last game was too good but this is the next level of intense games that i almost overlooked. I'm so glad i discovered mh3u so i can go into this even better game feeling like an experienced player.

Completely amazing. Everything from the detail on the monsters and the surroundings to the advanced armor skills system that can do anything from allowing you to eat raw meat to know when a monster is ready to be trapped, the game has everything that could be added without it being to overwhelming. good weapon types that are so well made they each need there own tutorials with amazingly complex upgrade trees. the story although not the strong part of the game is still quite interesting and makes you want to win. And with enough monsters and quests to keep you entertained for hours in the village alone. My playtime is way over 600 hours and i'm only hr 67 when I've seen some in the great multiplayer have reached the max of 999, but I'm not going to talk about the multiplayer because that is just to fun and enjoyable to put into words.

The game looks nice and the mini-games that aren't impossible are really fun but sadly the game is too luck based with the roll of a few dice almost completely controlling the game. Its just a shame that it is so random and requires so little skill. Nintendo looked at everything good in the old wii version like the bosses and lots of mini-game that occurred commonly that required skill, and removed them, leaving a game that is only really enjoyable once if that for anyone older than 5.
