Witch on the Holy Night is refreshing. In large part, it's a slice of life, but that doesn't take away from its action and emotional highs. The story flows seamlessly, and every moment along the way feels earned. At some points early on, it does feel like it drags, and even a particular night with an amusement park feels a little long. With that being said, this is a great story with an awesome conclusion.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth feels like a fantasy adventure. The combat is mastered from it's already elite gameplay in FF7 Remake, and now it adds a whole new layer of complexion and thought. The highlight of this game is the characters and their dynamics. The world feels alive, and as you're exploring, even the banter between party members enhance the experience. There is just so much content to explore and do within FF7 Rebirth that it feels like the ultimate fantasy experience. It's just hours and hours of fun. The ending is confusing to say the least, and there are moments that could've been executed better. Not to mention some of the mini-games which are frustrating as all get-out. Besides those few minor critiques, the experience of FF7 Rebirth is unforgettable.

The House in Fata Morgana is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It's tragic, terrifying, suffocating, all the while remaining beautiful beneath it all. It walks you through the psychology of the characters, making their emotions and tragedies feel all the more real. The story ties itself together masterfully to create a masterpiece of a story.Dreams of the Revenants includes the DLC, Requiem for Innocence, which continues on with the same quality as the main story, if not better, and Reincarnation. These, in conjunction with the main story, all work together **** you're willing to walk in knowing you'll be in for an emotional roller coaster, I cannot recommend this VN enough.

GOTY and second only to Elden Ring in how deserving it was (can't speak on E33; I have yet to beat it). This game absolutely blew me away with how much customization, the combat, and the story all depend on you, the player. There are so many paths you can go down, and the game feels ENDLESS. In a game and world like this, that's the biggest compliment. To be as long as it is and feel like it has next to no bloat is a crazy feat. You truly engross yourself as your character in the world. The dialogue you choose, the choices you make feels like your own rather than the character you're playing as. The combat (albeit frustrating at points) flows so well. Characters are likeable, antagonists are great, this is a masterpiece ****. I don't usually give .5s, but those bugs were frustrating as **** when they popped up, and parts of the game GENUINELY feel like bull ****, but it's all manageable. 100% recommend. I will be beginning my evil playthrough soon.

After letting it marinate, this game is absolute cinema. A perfect psychological horror with great symbolism, gameplay, depth, atmosphere, and pretty much everything you could ask for in a horror game. The OST is also damn near perfection. Piecing together everything as you play through the surreal city of Silent Hill is an unforgettable experience. Haven’t not played the original, this game is an instant classic. The only thing I will say is that at some moments, few and far between, mind you, the gameplay loop feels a little redundant and tedious. With that being said, a fantastic game all around and a must-play if you like horror.

Blasphemous 2 is a solid game. The game feels like filler, not really in a bad way. The game can be hard, but it's not controller-breaking hard (although I breezed through; I'm not speaking from first person). The lore is interesting, but not Souls video essay-level depth. The gameplay itself is fun. The game has no real negatives and is pretty short, which is why it's just a solid game. This game is a perfect game to play if you just want to play something to fill the gap.

Hollow Knight: Silksong succeeds in a lot of ways, coming off the heels of Hollow Knight. The gameplay and story are all both that are direct upgrades to its predecessor. The pace of Silksong and the wide variety of tools and skills at your disposal allow for various playstyles that you can switch between. The art direction, soundtrack, progression, etc all work to get you immersed in the world of Silksong.
