20 mins in & this is the dumbest couple in the entire US, which is quite a feat, since they're in Australia. I keep hoping this milquetoast Martin Freeman character will get a major dose of voodoo to finish him off once and for all. I feel like Ive got the plague now after surviving 20 minutes of this goofy movie. Why don't they just drop the baby in the forest and let her fend for herself? It's a fine movie if it has me hoping in the first hour that all the characters will just die already! And why do they keep talking to the dumb baby? Poor baby has a life of misery ahead of it anyway if it's just half as ugly as Martin Freeman and half as dumb as the wife.

This movie has a lot of laughs, the story and dialogue are pretty good, but mainly the actors are very good. Some of the characters try to act like mean ass teenagers, but they're really sweet underneath it all. That's one of the reasons I liked the movie, which was a pleasant surprise to me since I wasn't really expecting it to be good. Mainly though, the lead character, played by Hailee, is CUTE as can be.

Well, great acting, sure, I guess. Cate, of course, obviously. Bobby Cannavale was exceptional. But I couldn't wait for this movie to end, it was so sad. And the ending? Wow, saddest thing of all. I still feel lousy, although I just saw this today. Maybe I'll feel better soon.

Garsh, I loved this movie. Reminded me of A History of Violence, another great movie. I will see almost any movie that has Ray Liotta or Ed Harris in it. In both films, the sons almost steal the movie from their fathers...

I loved this movie, and I loved Tree of Life. Amazing to me that some people complain about the plot. Hahahah! This isn't a story, it's a poem and painting set to film. There's no plot. The astounding visual contrasts are presented with very little judgement, it seems to me. Everybody knows Paris is beautiful, but Oklahoma apparently has its own sort of beauty. I saw Tree of Life four times in two weeks, mainly dragging recalcitrant friends along. It got better each time. I'll see this at least twice in the first week, but not planning on taking anyone else. This is better savored alone. Also, I'm really glad Ben Affleck has so thoroughly redeemed himself as a serious artist, and Olga Kurylenko and Javier Bardem were perfect. I don't think there's a more interesting actor than Javier out there right now...

I really, really find Rashida Jones attractive, and I even liked her character in this movie. Nothing sexier than an earthy, naturally beautiful, sarcastic intellectual for me. But I didn't like any of the other characters, and the script was weak and the dialogue full of cliches. Her husband was very annoying, and her sort-of boyfriend even worse. The drug dealer guy? I won't even say.
