This is a Marterpiece. A have the feeling that the people who are bashing it are afraid or dislikeful of the representations it contains. Wheter you like them or not, there is no denying that this is a deep and thoughtful movie. I give it a ten for being, as much as very fun and upbeating, so intentional and dutiful, competent and coherent on conveying a message of self-acceptance and self-knowledge/discovery for both women and men alike. It's a meaningful movie, even if you don't agree with some of the representations it has. It shouldn't be trashed for political or worldview divergences. This movie is, at it's most deep, human. I don't think it should be carelessly shown to very young children though, because the subject of the plot it very, very dense. It's a bit hard to talk about death with too young children, so maybe PG-13 is in fact a good rating, but it's a mission-impossible to not take a 6yo to watch the latest and most Candy-colored Barbie movie ever! I will definitely hold this one to my best regards, for it's such a meaningful and delightful movie. The crowd clapped all along and the vibe in the movies was awesome, with the real world barbies of all ages and shapes all colored in pink.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 38

I didn't expect this movie to be so wholesome and heartfull. It also brings such a good message about animal exeriments and care. It hurts sometimes, because the pain of the characters are really deep and I felt connected to them. This is a good work of cinematography, they really brought that empathy up! Great writing and acting, although I though Adam Warlock's treatment too goofy (not a GofG goofy, but an out of place kind of goofy).

The Super Mario Bros. Movie9

This movie definitely deserves a ten. The only reason it's getting a nine is because, by my second watch - along my niece in the theaters - I noticed that the grim character was actually a bad idea. It might be fun to watch for adults and all, but that's clearly not the kind of message you want to put inside your little ones' minds. Other than that, this movie is CLEARLY a masterpiece!

Good animation, but trash content where writers don't seem to understand what should get inside the mind of little kids. There is drinking and bridge jumping after a failure. Those who wrote this don't seem to understand the difference between plots for adults and plots for kids. "My family are my friends", choosing friends over family, is not the right message to pass. Vilifying father figures is not the right message to pass. There were a lot of things in this that souldn't be impressed on the little one's minds, mostly because it's our grown up world's problems, not kids'. It's not that kids won't like this, it's an animated musical. The problem is what it is teaching.

Predator3

I don't wanna make any mistakes of anacronically reading in this movie, but I'm moving apart from praising a fictional content just because of it is a 'classic' for some reason. I'm not sure how it when was it was released, or how was the reception. For this analysis it just doesn't matter right now. After all, fictional works age, and note everyone of them age the same way. Given that, I found Predator the original movie boring. It doesn't stand the quality set by today's standards and can only fit well with people who like nostalgic movies and people who want to deeper understand the franchise. It set the concept of the predator that was set in popular culture, but still, that's not a movie I enjoyed watching so much for itself. The idea is there, but the execution is not so good anymore. So if I could synthetise it in simple words that would be: It's not for me.

I have nothing to complain about this movie. I love watching it. It's kind of a pet movie for me now. I like putting it on every other day or so just so to watch some scenes while doing other stuff, leaving it on the background. The predator is awesome. Photography is awesome. Ambientation/ localization is awesome. Main characters are awesome. They feel well fleshed out even though not many have screentime. No woke content at all. Vilifing whites doesn't come out as woke, since it's historically acurate, female main character isn't overpowered just for being a woman. In fact her weakness is used in her favor, and they acknoledge that giving her a proper character arc. She gives her best to become who she wants, she fails, she keeps fighting, she gets afraid, gets overwhelmed, but as every good main hero-ish character, she overcomes her chalenges and comes out bigger. She's small, human and credible. She's not strong, but that doesn't stop her from being quick-witted and a natural warrior or leader. Her strength is in her personality and her presence. She's smart, and this movie is beaultiful to watch. The music also has smart decisions, using tribal concepts and components alongside technologiical and electronic sounds. Even the predator's mask matches this setup. Everything is very cohesive.

Spider-Man: No Way Home9

The movie carries from the get go a feeling of consequence and a farewell to how things used to be. No Way Home is many things at it's core, all of them very well stitched together. It is, first and foremost, a Spider-Man coming of age story. The story tunnels Peter Parker through a process of growth, making him turn into a man, and learning what's the cost of being a hero. The plot sacrifices it's complexity for the sake of character development. It's a self-contained story that works well on it's own, and much better as part of something bigger, since it carries the impact of many other MCU stories, both from the full lenght movies and TV shows alike. It is secondly, and for this same reason, the literal window opener for Marvel's multiverse at the movies, as it is the debut of the concept in their feature films. Fans centaintly feel delighted to see this happening, and it brings a solid feeling of moving forward to MCU's story as a whole. The third thing No Way Home is, feeding on the multiverse concept it helps to establish, a love letter to any Spider-Man fan of any age. Fan service feels well deserved and fit to the story, if only a few times slow or out of place. It feels, sometimes, that Raimi characters feel tired and disconnected to what they used to be in their original appearances.

Godzilla vs. Kong3

The Monsterverse has too many drawbacks. Although the characters that really matter (the monsters) are very well done, the plots of these films are so poorly written, and that is why there are so many things to be overseen, that I often have to skip scenes to be able to continue watching the film satisfactorily. I don't think this argument that "it's a monster movie" is valid all the time to pass up the flaws that the movies constantly present. Yes, it's okay to use it once, twice or even three times, but the unreality of two giant monsters fighting is on par with that of technological and alien geniuses fighting to save the universe from a space eggplant. It is not as if well-written scripts have not made credible stories about elves and hobbits saving the world with a ring, space cowboys saving princesses from tyrants or even world domination by machines. A well-written script makes any stupid idea into a genius one, and a poorly written script even makes great ideas borderline stupid. In comparison with other cinematographic universes and other films and sagas, the monsterverse leaves something to be desired by requiring so many times a suspension of disbelief to be done. The most interesting thing is that this suspension does not need to be done because it is kaijus or monsters fighting, but to accept the ill excuses and motivations without explanations of the human characters. After watching Godzilla vs. Kong I realized that I was no longer so willing to give more and more chances to Monterverse films with poorly written scripts. I will wait for the next films, and hopefully there will be many, simply because the monsters are very cool, but so far none of the four films released had so much to please me.

Toy Story 42

Toy Story is my favorite animation franchise ever. Every film brings on the most heartwarming moments to memory, as it's usual to Pixar. Sadly, Toy Story 4 is easily the worst film ever made by Pixar, as it brings such a heartbraking ending and instead of the fantastic and joyful feeling that surrounds every teardrop that usually falls while watching Toy Story 1, 2 and specially 3, its is now filled with a sad, gloomy feeling that makes me feel grief everytime I watch it. I felt it like an enormous disrespect to the characters, specially. The animation is top notch. The writing is fluid. But while Toy Story 1 to 3 hold a very special place in one's heart, Toy Story 4 feels more like a wound that demands you to grow, overcome pain and deal with sad truths. It is still an important animation, nevertheless; but the way it was made can hurt people who grew up with that fantasy so much that the score has to go very low. A animação é a melhor possível.
