"Star Wars Rebels" is the pinnacle of Star Wars television, deserving a 9/10. It delivers a compelling story with rich characters, emotional depth, and thrilling adventures. Its ability to expand the Star Wars universe while maintaining a strong connection to the core saga is unmatched. From its stunning animation to its engaging character arcs (I'm looking at you Ezra + Thrawn), this series embodies everything that makes Star Wars special, solidifying its place as the best Star Wars TV show to date.

"Silo" is a compelling post-apocalyptic drama that immerses viewers in a meticulously crafted underground world. Rebecca Ferguson delivers a standout performance as Juliette Nichols, an engineer unraveling the mysteries of her confined society. The series excels in world-building and maintains a gripping narrative throughout. While some plot developments may feel familiar to genre enthusiasts, the show's strong character development and atmospheric tension make it a standout addition to the sci-fi genre. Overall, "Silo" earns a solid 8 out of 10 for its engaging storytelling and impressive production design.

I read the book and so had to watch the TV show. The differences are that the show is a bit more depressing and uses composite characters that represent multiple characters found in the book. I feel as though the book has a greater purpose which is a critique of the lack of funding of the NHS where's the series meanders more and is more focused on the tremendous stress and responsibilities of doctors like Adam Kay in the NHS. I kinda expected another episode once I finished the series.

Hot Trash What on earth did I just watch?“Beast Games” is a glaring misfire in the realm of reality television. The show’s rapid-fire editing is disorienting, making it difficult to follow the already flimsy narrative. The production quality is subpar, with challenges that seem hastily constructed and lacking in creativity. The storytelling is virtually nonexistent, offering no meaningful context or development for the contestants barring a sentence or two from them. This oversight reduces participants to mere pawns in a spectacle that feels exploitative, especially given the show’s apparent targeting of individuals in financial distress. The ethical implications of such exploitation are deeply troubling. The presenters’ interviewing skills leave much to be desired; their interactions come across as awkward and insincere, failing to engage either the contestants or the audience. The show is an imitation of squid games (a satirical take on late-stage capitalism) but this misses the central plot of squid games entirely. Instead of providing insightful commentary (on late stage capitalisms exploitation of workers, it becomes the very thing it purports to critique—a shallow display of wealth and desperation, feasting on the hopes and dreams of poor people, entirely devoid of self-awareness. In summary, “Beast Games” is a poorly executed series that fails on multiple fronts, from production quality to ethical considerations. It’s a disheartening reflection of reality TV’s worst tendencies.

Really really dull Script: Full of sudo-wise quotes that don’t make sense 2/10 Costumes: Men: 7.5 Nothing stands out - looks decent Dwarves: 8 Harfoots: 1 If you can embroid, you can make clean edges to items of clothing. They shouldn’t all be torn and in rags. Elves: 2 Doesn’t look like they read Tolkien’s description of them - their armour looks like plastic figurines. CGI: 5 average - very expensive. I don’t feel it will have an enduring staying power. It looks too clean and uniform. We see hundreds of entirely identical elven ships. Most of the elves in amour look like a copy and past in a computer. World doesn’t look lived in - has a stock footage quality for selling TVs Kinda documentary feeling in first episode - strange for a high fantasy. Don’t recommend you watch.
