Taking inspiration from A Short Hike, Smushi is about exploration and traversal in a miniature world with light challenges in the form of puzzles and platforming. I can forgive some issues with the UI and camera controls because of the unique experience.

There are few games that provide a GTA experience in a wholesome world, and this is the best example of it. Similar to A Short Hike, this is a short experience that's perfectly paced. The town is fun to explore and all the characters are amusing.

A disappointing game that we should forget. Rocksteady is a superb studio with lots of potential, and it's mostly wasted on a mediocre game. Hopefully we don't have to wait another 10 years for the next game, if the studio still exists.

Disappointing is the word of the day here. A legendary studio created a generic game. It's best if we just forget this ever happened.

One of the most unexpected games, pairing the chaotic instincts **** with stealth mechanics and puzzles. It may be short, but it is perfectly paced. Filled with humour and wonderful art, this will remain a classic.

I don't normally like rhythm games, but I love this. Persona 5 level of presentation, and gameplay is fun and snappy. What a great way to start 2023.

A true RPG that has impactful decisions and a varieties of paths through a richly detailed world. A masterpiece of narrative design and story structure. There is some bad here, with the visuals being mediocre and some technical issues, but this is a landmark game that needs to be played.

An excellent fighting game with great motion mechanics and characters is let down by a lack of content. The production quality is great, with design, sounds and visuals all of typical Nintendo polish. If you are just looking for a multiplayer game, this might be good enough value, but it shouldn't be a full priced Nintendo game.

The pinnacle of open world games, BOTW gives you the freedom to explore and experiment in a world that is designed to be accessible, intriguing and reactive. Story is minimal but compelling, and a huge variety of dungeons are scattered over the map. There is so much to discover, and the mechanics of the game encourage you to be adventurous.

The continual evolution of 3D Mario games has led to this masterpiece. Vibrant worlds filled with secrets make this a game that will provide hours of enjoyment. The story is concise and well paced with the bulk of the content reserved for post game. Mario's ability to capture other creatures and copy their abilities leads to so much variety in gameplay, with each mechanic being polished and fun to play.

A collection of fun inventive puzzles with colourful and polished graphics and a cute story make this an instant classic. The diorama style levels make this perfect for handheld play, each with interesting mechanics and secrets to discover. At a lower price than most Nintendo games this game delivers a lot of value with some great DLC offering even more levels.

Excellent pacing and continually inventive ideas make this an essential game on the Switch. Bowsers Fury is the highlight of this collection, but improvements to 3D World make it a joy to play as well. Enjoyable as a single player and multiplayer game, there is a lot of value here.

At their core, these are great games. The added quality of life improvements enhance the value. What's disappointing is that these are PS2 games and should be running smoothly. These are not optimised for Switch, but you can still get a lot of value from this collection.

Discovering new paths is endlessly fun and rewarding.

The best Kirby game. One of the best games on Switch. Excellent pacing and a huge variety of environments and game mechanics to play with make for non stop fun. The vibes are great with compelling music and sound design and a vibrant world full of secrets to discover. Gameplay is basic but solid, with variety more than making up for any lack of depth.

A great Strategy RPG. You as a professor lead an excellent cast of characters that you can individually connect with through the main quest, side quests and teaching them at Garegg Mach Monastery. The setting is basic, but serves as a great way to move around, interacting with different students. Choosing one of the three houses will change the story dramatically, offering a lot of replayability. The story is compelling, with lots of surprising moments and the gameplay offers a lot depth and customization. I only played two routes, but both were excellent.
