So, here’s another game that thinks it’s fun to have an unbalanced and abusive “final” boss. I really enjoyed most of the game, even with the increased difficulty after the patch. I even got almost all of the in-game achievements. But I uninstalled it when I reached Eviterno. I know that after enough attempts, muscle memory would eventually kick in and I’d beat the guy, but it’s just not worth it. Why would you ruin your game with something like this?! Now I don’t even care about the DLC or any possible sequel.

What an amazing, refreshing new game! It boasts an incredible atmosphere that keeps you hooked and curious about the story. It doesn't hold your hand too much, you have to figure out a lot of the mechanics on your own. And there are a lot of mechanics... I mean, A LOT. But they all feel completely natural. The difficulty sits in the perfect Goldilocks zone. You can tweak it in the settings, and that's my only complaint: you shouldn't. The sheer amount of difficulty customization on offer is ridiculous. I've finished the main story, and there's still tons of content left, things to upgrade and discover. That said, I think it could have covered a bit more territory to better lead into those endgame elements. Overall an amazing game. Glad I could play it.

A beautiful game ruined by unbalanced boss fights. Completely unlike the first.

The world they built for this game is incredible. The art is top-tier, and the gameplay is just as good. With these kinds of games that have level progression with different character build types and bosses that feel a bit 'souls-like', I usually brace myself for the devs to go overboard and turn it into a grind-fest. But not here — the balance is spot-on all the way through. One of the best games I've ever played.

I really enjoyed the game, up to a point, because there are certain parts that completely ruined the experience for me, and because of that, I cannot recommend it. It feels like someone made some very bad design choices and nobody spoke up about it during development. Some boss fights are just not balanced, especially in phase 2, where things get so frustrating it kills all the fun. The final straw was the last boss fight. I ended up uninstalling the game without finishing it. It's just not worth the time, and all the little annoyances start to pile up. That said, the world design, character progression and leveling system is actually pretty fun. Unbalanced bosses where you spend hours beating them? Yeah, no thanks. Unless you're one of those who thinks memorizing six different attacks per phase with one shot insta-kills in the mix is fun. Skip this one.
