Persona 5 Royal

I like the original Persona 5 better because Royal draws out the narative even more to this already extensive game, and provides more challenging combat with better dungeons. But you can play this one at 60 fps instead of 20!

Futa-succubi dating-sim, with one of the best soundtracks ever. Hell yes. Also some great mature themes which unironically helped me form a better mindset on dating and relationships. Men out there, respect yourself, but also respect your partner

Need for Speed Unbound

In a world where arcade racing is gone, Unbound provides some fun. I have zero interest in car story-mode, car battle passes, or beating virtual avatars in a video game, but Unbound's online mode is a good opportunity to race against some real people in high-octane races that also provides a decent progression system and customization. I just wish we got a new, online only arcade racer with menu-based lobbys.

If you ask me, the best game ever made. Combat, fusion, music, choices, and story are the best they've been across the series. This game will absolutely make you think before heading into battle, choosing a skill, fusing, or making dialogue choices. I only wish it were a little bit harder. everything gives too much xp. Maybe Atlus can add a DLC difficulty later? Please?

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

While Elden Ring as a game was a great experience, each release by Fromsoftware further establishes it's delve into punishment-simulation, and their fans as a cult, unable to handle hear anything Negative about their game. The fact is, Shadow of the Erdtree is designed poorly. Bosses have mechanics that are not fun to deal with, like frame perfect dodging and camera issues. Developer's solution is to add little yellow McGuffins over the area that make the game playable again. It's lazy and uninspired. Exploration is strong, but when it's required to progress, it feels different. Kind of like someone putting your favorite meal in front of you and then saying, "You better eat this, or else...". That meal is not going to taste the same with a gun to your head. I think I'm completely done with open world games anyway.

Really reminds me of old school quake games and modern doom. Intense action, thumping music, secrets and references everywhere, and great linear design. I fin myself replaying endlessly to get a faster time.
