Probably one of the worst games I've ever played, it's genuinely terrible. The bland protagonist and boring story perfectly compliment the time eating gameplay and boring biomes. Abysmal game that only people will pretend to enjoy because it's brutal difficulty makes them feel special, you're not you just have too much spare time.

How can a game this short and basic be so buggy. Had to start it from scratch after we froze during the chess 'puzzle'. The game is a boring match the symbols game where one player just tells the other what to do, but the real idiocy here is the pointless game fail states and broken checkpoint system. It's tedious by design to elongate the short gameplay. There are no puzzles here that make you feel smart just tediom.

The worst borderlands yet, glitches aside the menus are horrible the open world is barren and lifeless, the guys feel crap and the checkpoint system is broken. Every change is for the worse.

Not sure why this game didn't do better. The story is pretty weak but overall the gameplay was great! Taking out hordes of zombies was a gaming highlight akin to first swinging through New York in Spiderman.

I just tried to play Farcry 6 and it made me realise that this game was actually pretty good. I enjoyed the gunplay the story was varied enough it focused on actual fun rather than wokeness.

I really like the 'just cause' setting and at first the antagonist seems great. His reasoning to be 'evil' is so legit that I felt like we might well be the bad guys in it. BUT the gameplay is terrible, the constant ammo switching and inventory micromanagement is not what I want from a Farcry game. Plus the wokeness is strong with this one. Every male is dumb as hell and every woman is a power queeeeen! They've made it so that 80% of the soldiers are women, but there's pretty much only one character model so 80% of the soldiers are the same woman. I wished they'd referenced this, by saying that the men were drafted first and have all perished or something. Rather than it just being women = power men = s**t Worst Farcry to date by far.

A shame this never got any single player DLC, a casualty of the online success. But it's still a masterpiece and the standard that even 10 years on no other similar game, CyberPunk, Saints Row etc has come close to matching.

While not a disaster. Everything right with this game is from the classic bethesda formula. Anything added or changed except maybe the ship building is a failure. The main issue is this is not an open world game and half the game is spent fast traveling back and forth. The content we want is here (although some a little half baked) but it's sandwiched between thick dry layers of procedurally generated nothingness. It would have been a much richer game if they condensed the universe down to 3 solar systems. This would have allowed them to gate off the other solar systems until maybe you had improved your ship meaning they could have scaled the difficulty better and brought a sense of progression. Old school GTA style. The fact that each planet has a single location worth visiting on it is a mistake. The rich see something in the distance and go open worlds of Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring are not even slightly here. From the map the entire game might as well be an excel spreadsheet. They also lose marks for actively backseating white male characters. While a diverse cast is nice, the obvious lack of white men that are not evil is just clumsy.

I haven't been so enamoured with a game in years. It does have a steep learning curve, the the challenge kept me hooked. Even 40 hours into the game a band of peasants can still catch you off guard and kill you. It plays amazingly, on the Steam Deck too. The only negative is maybe the wonky but thematic save system, but other than that. Play this game!

An absolute disaster of a port. Playing the game couch co-op offline it takes forever to load. But worst of all the game doesn't save progress and crashed on disconnect and deletes all saved data for all games. I've reported the bug and put up a forum post with no resolve. It's absolute trash and I've never regretted buying a game more.

The game is very punishing and doesn't tell you anything but can be enjoyable. Unfortunately on Xbox Series consoles it constantly crashes and eventually will cause all your servers and saves to disappear making it unplayable.

Loved Control so thought I'd try this, but it's terrible. - The upgrade system relies on exploration which would be bad enough but they made the lights look identical to the upgrades making them a chore to find. - The weapons are dull and the enemies are bullet sponges. - The powers are good but frustrating to tell when they can be used or not. - The character runs SO slow - Playing on hard is easy until the final boss ehich broke me, it was the worst gaming experience of the year Don't bother

Probably one of the most beautiful games in the PS4 generation let down by frustrating gun play and a campaign about 4 hours too long. I played and loved Uncharted 1 and 2 and even the Vita game, this really shows what a generational leap in consoles can do. The level design is incredible, giving you for the first time in the series a sense of freedom to find your own way while rarely getting lost. How they managed to achieve this is amazing! Mix that with some of the most incredible set pieces in a game to date and I was seriously impressed. Unfortunately the gameplay is where this game plummeted faster than Nate after an accidental O button press. The climbing is fluid, quick and intuitive but instead of an adrenaline filled challenge making you feel rewarded when you reach your destination. It slows the progress to such a frustrating level that by the last few hours I was so bored of again jumping on a rickety wooden bridge/crumbly rock to have it break cause Nate to make a detour that I almost didn't bother finishing the game. And why on earth do Naughty dog think pushing out of place wooden boxes with trolley wheels is such an interesting mechanic. So much so that they included it every 15 min throughout the game, they handle terribly and again only achieve to slow the gameplay to such a crawl that it breaks all momentum and sense of progression making gameplay a predictable chore. The stealth is good while it lasts, I missed having a silenced weapon to take full advantage and nearly always managed get spotted resulting in the other big let down of this game, the shooting! Shooting in these games was never the primary focus but it was always a welcome break. Here unfortunately the developer seemed to want to transition it from cover based shooter run and gun action. And it failed miserably. The cover is now destructible and doesn't seem to offer much protection anyway with enemies easily managing to land hits on Nate even when hidden fully, and the constant barrage of fire means popping your head out for even a second results in taking significant damage. The enemies are very aggressive constantly marching towards and sometimes spawning behind your location and each taking too many bullets to kill, meaning that you have to take a few shots and attempt to run to the next crumbling cover spot scrabbling to pick up what little ammo you can grab on the way. Whenever I died (which was often) I nearly always felt cheated. I dreaded the crappy uncreative gun fights with the same crappy cookie cutter 4 or 5 enemy types and the same crappy 4 or 5 nearly identical weapons. It made me miss the Shambala guardians of Uncharted 2. The one last saving grace of the game play was the driving sequences ,which where surprisingly my favourite part of the game, the vehicles handle amazingly and the level design makes for the clear highlight of the game but it couldn't make up for the rest.
