I started playing recently and was hooked for about 3 months. Waiting on the expansion to play again. I tried playing this several years ago, but didn't give it a real chance. I was turned off by the graphics, but this is definitely a fun game.

Blizzard managed to create a game so disappointing & frustrating that almost everyone who quits RAGE QUITS. Microsoft - Ignore the recent slew of fake positive reviews. Click on their review history dates. Fake accounts trying to prop up a GOLD TOILET game. Plenty of other reviews cover the reasons why Diablo 4 is hot garbage. One of the worst games I've ever bought. I will never buy anything from them again. Search Actman Diablo 4 and watch any of his related reviews. Search Blizzard lawsuits. I scheduled my G.D. vacation time for the D4 release & 3 days into playing it stopped being fun. I'm still upset. What a scam. The once great Blizzard North was bought out over a decade ago and none of the brilliant minds still work there at what is now called Activision Blizzard. I didn't know this until after buying D4. Blizzard pumps out flashy games with no substance and puts the Blizzard stamp on it to cash in on nostalgia and utilize predatory in game cash transaction practices. Their games are pure marketing & sales. Look at reviews for any of their games in the last decade. I wish I had. Don't believe the positive critic reviews or the fake positive reviews masquerading as negative ones. Blizzard pays for those to confuse people D4 Motto: If you're not having fun you're either playing wrong or too much.

Reasons I quit. Console needs all of the PC features. Additionally, CONSOLE ISSUES IGNORED by Devs even at EXILECON! Zero love for console players! 1. No party finder (lonely) and buy/sell doesn't have enough filters (major issue). They should offer mods other than loot filter. No battle Royale either. 2. Endgame: crafting, maps, builds, delves, and the weird mini games are incredibly confusing for new players especially if on console. 3. Too easy to "brick" your character. Propper socketing is a nightmare. Respec too expensive. Console economy too expensive with low active player base & currency/item farmers. Unable to trade for build dependent items at reasonable prices (unlike PC). This makes farming kind of pointless & crafting exponentially more difficult. 4. Too easy to get one shotted by random mobs and not know why. 5. Video build guides entirely for PC and not console. 6. Not new player friendly. Even after 350 hours I kept feeling lost. I hope POE 2 addresses these issues. Overall, game is far superior to Diablo 4. Try playing POE on console. Lack of players & gold/loot farmers makes many trades cost prohibitive. Which kinda ruins farming & requires way more ctafting. No group finder. No mods (except loot finder), limited build possibilities due to crap economy & controller. No Battle Royale. It **** ballz.

IF YOU SPEND LOTS OF REAL MONEY YOU CAN WIN BY CHEATING. Please don't support cash grab games like this from predatory companies like Blizzard. Blizzard/Activision preys on gaming addicts & players with low self confidence. Look it up if you don't believe me.

I hope POE 2 fixes these issues otherwise it may have very few console players long-term.

I loved this game. I even still play it on occasion. I showed it to my folks (70-80 years old) and they got hooked on it even more than I was and they still play it daily. They showed it to a friend of theirs and he even plays it. The game is way easier than the other Civ games though. I had never played any of those before playing Civ Rev and couldn't get into the actual Civ games as a result. I am told they are much better, but whatever. This game is pretty easy to pick up and still lots of videos online with people showcasing how to play and win using various strategies. The game isn't supported though anymore so the multiplayer and game of the week functions don't work. Reddit has a forum where people host private servers for it with all of those features (just found that out}. I tried getting my folks to switch to the new Civ Rev 2 game, but the poor graphics and lack of zoom are very bad and so none of us made the switch to Civ Rev 2.

Impossibly blurry on PS5. Additionally, way, way too much info bombarded at me when I first logged in. Microtransaction city. If the environment and combat graphics had been anywhere near as good as almost every other game in the genre I would have kept playing, but after a couple hours of everything being out of focus and the massive clutter of never ending cash shop click bait.... I think this game is dead. At least on console.

I started playing this game about a year or so after it came out and it blew my mind. Everything about it was new and pretty brutal. The downtime between fighting mobs was at minimum a few minutes and grouping was kind of a necessity. I remember the first time the screen started doing something weird and I realized my in game character was starving to death and couldn't see straight. I didn't realize that was something I had to worry about until it happened and I was lost in the woods with nothing to eat. Plus, when you died you'd loose all your equipment and items if you couldn't find and retrieve your corpse. You could maybe use chat and find a friendly high level necromancer who could drag your corpse back to you and them. Leveling took forever (years and years) and people would sometimes (accidentally or intentionally) run past you trailing monsters who would then attack you. They would type into chat "TRAIN!!!!" as they were running by you. It was all very exciting at the time.
