Simmons’ thoughtful, engrossing, and altogether joyful new series carves its own path on the cold roads of America’s eastern seaboard. Whether you wanted more of “The End of the Fucking World” or not, seek this one out.

Wayne will suffer more often than not, and this is not a limited series, but a potentially ongoing one. But when he’s happy, if just for an instant, the show lights up around him.

It’s more superficial in its pleasures than many of the films and series it resembles, relying on style, attitude and the performances of McKenna and Bravo to pull the audience along as Wayne and Del ride a dirt bike to Florida to recover his father’s stolen ’78 Trans Am. Fortunately, the leads are good, even if the dialect work by them and others (Dean Winters and Abigail Spencer pop up at various points as Del’s mom and dad) is a touch shaky. ... Rarely dull.

Great coming of age dark comedic road movie featuring a couple of teenage violent misunderstood kids who may or may not benefit from a second chance at life before its too late . Oh and its very very cool

This series is a cross between Shameless (incorrigible characters doing outrageous things) and The End of the F***ing World (2 closed-off misfit teens on a road adventure). Wayne (Mark McKenna) is prone to mood swings from sullen to fierce, but he also hardwired with a sense of protecting those being wronged. He takes off to Florida with his outspoken and headstrong new friend (Ciara Bravo). Meanwhile, a delightful range of unique and scruffy supporting characters joins in the chase (the twins are especially hilarious). This is dark comedy in the best sense with occasional outbursts of violence, witty dialogue, fun surprises and touching moments of insight. (Ten 30-minute episodes with the possibility of a 2nd season)

Excellent show. Great writing. Clever dialog. Funny. A little violent. What more could you want in a show?

Amazing, It is very difficult to watch at first, but when you are imbued with the characters and join the maelstrom of events, this series brings you real pleasure.

The show seems to be going to a style over substance thing, almost like it's been adopted from a comic. The only problem is there just doesn't seem to be much style beyond "edge". If you liked Kickass you'll most likely enjoy this.
