The Celebrity Traitors is even better than the original. .... Even the challenges are better in the celebrity version. .... The celebrities have entertainment running through their veins. Some do play up to the cameras, but they are mostly utterly delightful.
It’s everything you want from the gameshow, but with loads of famous faces. And at one point, it feels like you’re witnessing the last pure moment in history. Beautiful.
The show is so well-made and well-edited that it is guaranteed to entertain. The episode really gets going at the end, when the traitors are given their first instructions.
Traitors diehards were fearful that a celebrity version would go against everything that made it so watchable. But, based on this opener at least, they don’t have anything to worry about – this new spin-off stays faithful to the show we know and love.
I will watch this because it’s already better than last year’s US celebrity version (that had John Bercow as a contestant) and for the hope that it will turn nastier.
