The Bisexual

It’s as amiably engaging as it is enlightening while it looks into the ups and downs of a newly realized bisexual.

Because the characters and the milieu are well observed--"The Bisexual" does for London what "Girls" did for New York--and naturalistically rendered, the show is moving, at unexpected times, if you have lived much life at all, or even thought about it a little.

Where [Sally4Ever's] Sally’s crisis outrageously flowers into absurdity, Leila’s is the basis for a droll study of friendship and desire, with tenderness in its millennial moping, and emotional depth to its embarrassing emotional pratfalls.

Inconsistently amusing, The Bisexual might have been a tight feature-length film, but the story here does not justify six 30-minute segments.
