SummaryPrimeval, a high-budget series, follows Professor Nick Cutter and his team as they investigate anomalies in time found in the Forest of Dean. Cutter's wife also disappears whil... Read More

It's a rollicking adventure with decent special effects and better stories and character development than, say, Sci Fi Channel's "Eureka."

With its campy humor, poignant drama and potent scares, Primeval will appeal equally to adults and children.

Dinosaurs are certainly alive and well in Primeval, a crackling-good new BBC America sci-fi series thriller that's packed with vivid CGI prehistoric predators galore and a story line that's almost plausible.

Primeval (which has already been renewed for a fifth season) doesn't ask you to think, just to enjoy the mayhem that follows when a rampaging behemoth is set loose anywhere in the United Kingdom. It's hard to find fault with a formula like that.

The camp factor churned out is fairly high, and with Primeval, a new series starting Saturday on BBC America, it climbs up Big Ben and right on over the top of the London Eye.

This show could evolve into something more interesting than a guilty pleasure.

Almost from the get-go there's far more galumphing than trotting going on, and not all of it done by prehistoric feet. Things pick up in the third episode and there are dodos in the fourth, but it's not enough, no, not nearly enough.

This is a really great science fiction series. A series that gives hours of entertainment and excitement to its audience until the end. A series with great visual effects and an amazing script that announces an amazing series with its powerful start. I definitely suggest you show it.

This nerdy sci-fi series started strong. Then certain things happen near the end of the second season and it all goes down hill. Let's just say the introduction of action man Danny was a fail. Should of kept it nerd centric focused. I do have to credit the actors in this series who legit look scared at the monsters. It just, became generic action fodder after season two which was a shame.
