The Season 6 premiere moves at a brisk clip, efficiently dispensing of much of last season's dead weight, and offering its own incidental pleasures, including the nifty duo of Hank and Wu, who stay busy keeping track of Renard and feeding inside info to Nick. The ending is a typical Grimm cliffhanger, which revs up the suspense and reminds us how good it is to have Grimm back again, for one last go-round.

The overall mythology is sprouting nicely thorny tendrils. [10 Sep 2012, p.42]

Loved all the seasons. The show went from strength to strength. Expanding on the lore and raising the stakes time and time again. The main cast are all likable. Good synergy with all the main cast members. Ending and last season was a bit rushed, but it still a good enough conclusion to the entire series.

I'm really praying for a spin-off. I think this retelling of the traditional Brother Grimms stories is absolutely incredible. It's a nice mix of crime and fantasy genres mixed with a couple of unexpected twists.

It can be genuinely scary (the pilot has a "Lovely Bones" vibe that's not for children). But it has wit too, and avoids camp.

Grimm has a low-rent Saturday Syfy vibe to it.

There's a potentially good supernatural cop show to be made, and certain pieces in place to make this into that. But the version you'll see on NBC tonight seems to be embracing the show's likely failure by being something few will miss if it doesn't work out.

The show vacillates between hokey and clever as it mines the Brothers Grimm for contemporary analogues.

It isn't invested deeply enough in magic to create an alternative world, and while Giuntoli is perfectly fine as a cop, the police procedural part feels routine.

'Grimm' has a very original and interesting premise and runs with it. The show can at times be camp or a bit too dramatic, but all together is a show about the character relationships.
