What Touch the Wall lacks is an inventive or compelling presentation. Heavy with platitudes about goals and attitude, it could easily be a short special on ESPN.

Content to stay on the surface, it's a puff piece posing as a real documentary.

Great movie to share with swimmers and athletes alike. Inspiring and educational and gives a glimpse into what it takes to swim competitively at an olympic and pro level.

As a mother of 3 life long Summer Rec Swimmers, this was a must see movie for our family. We attended a private showing with our swim team. It was a wonderful evening. Missy's story is one that every young athlete should hear, not just swimmers. She is so genuine and so dedicated to her goals. The movie really gets it right when showing the various struggles of being an elite athlete and of parenting one. The relationship between Missy and Kara is unique and well documented in the film. Kara's struggles add a dimension to the overall feel of the film that brings it home to the audience. Loved the movie, and so did my kids.

We saw the movie as a swim team and it delivered big time to our kids. Granted Missy is a phenom, something most kids can't comprehend but she is a GREAT role model and so very normal. Kara story was very compelling as she struggled to go back to one more Olympics. Whether you are an Olympic caliber athlete, a rec league adult or a businessman at the end of your career, we all struggle when it is our time to go. We will see it again and will own it when it comes out on DVD.
