Legendary

This rousingly sweet little flick is certainly nothing to go out of your way to avoid.

For a movie with a star wrestler at the center of it, Legendary doesn't pack much of a punch.

It does strive for substance and meaning in a way that gives it an unmistakable Barton Fink feeling, if nothing close to a Barton Fink sensibility.

Though the redemption/coming-of-age narrative is highly predictable-with Glover appearing intermittently only to dispense bromides-Clarkson, at least, remains reliable.

A bold-faced name for a lowercase effort, a school wrestling drama so mired in family-film clichés it can never shake loose the suspicion that - not unlike certain high-gloss mat bouts - the emotional fix is in from the get-go.

A by-the-numbers sports drama with a death grip on clichés and acting every bit as flat as the mat, seems unlikely to draw much of a crowd.

The only thing that remains a mystery is why anyone thinks they can pass off a poorly made, predictable-to-a-fault movie as inspiring entertainment.

liked this one. I will add it to my library. good story line, with some meaning in it. was more of a chick flick type of movie. great for a rental..

I'm not gonna lie, I greatly enjoyed this movie. I felt it had a good, "sports movie" story line kinda like 2003's Radio. Solid performances also and a surprising performance from captain stone-face John Cena

This movie was less action driven than I had hoped. I expected a classic struggle of good vs. evil but what I got was a tale of the struggles of everyday life. I enjoyed this movie simply because of the story. The characters family struggles were real and believable. This movie failed in terms of its acting and its script. I found it hard to care about the son who was too cold and lacked the necessary passion for his role. John Cena was a pleasant surprise in that he may have been the best actor in this movie. If you enjoy inspirational movies especially pertaining to sports than I would recommend this movie, although if your not ready for a mainly dramatic movie you will be disappointed.

To call it **** would be an affront to ****. A geek joining the wrestling squat because of unresolved dead father issues? A high school girl with IQ below 50 showing her breasts to classmates for $5? Seriously? What world do the writers of this junk live in?
