Cursed

Marks a return to a not-so-distant time when horror movies weren't soul-rotting atrocities but just enjoyably bad.

Though Craven shows flashes of the old magic, Cursed eventually settles into rote, uninspired horror fare, hog-tied to the Williamson formula all the way to arbitrary finish. The film may be one of the best ever not screened in advance for critics, but that still doesn't put it in the finest company.

There is some fun to be had if you're in an undemanding frame of mind.

The scariest thing in the movie is a cameo by Scott Baio.

It's not bad enough to make you curse, but you are likely to laugh when you should scream, and to roll your eyes when you are meant to laugh.

It's hard to tell who is more Cursed - the pretty young people who turn into werewolves on screen or the people who buy tickets for this slow, witless, predictable horror flick.

The film vacillates between inanity and flat-out lameness, and the decision to recut from an R-rated version to a PG-13 sucked out whatever life might have been left.

Nice movie I enjoyed it the storyline was the best so far big ups to the cast

The story is not original, the acting is overall okay except Joshua Jackson who was pretty bad and there was no blood or "Wes Craven's violence". But, it is still a pretty good movie.

The protagonists here, as in many of Craven's films, are young people or teenagers. The werewolf myth is revived,poking fun at genre literature and cinema, alternating moments of comedy with others of pure suspense,although in the live-action version, the bloodiest scenes are cut. Overall, an enjoyable film, although the plot developmentis a bit predictable, and almost everything becomes clear after a few **** actors' performances are decent, and the special effects are good.

Although not without its moments, Cursed is a disappointing horror comedy of appalingly weak performances, repulsively cheesy VFX and a wildly predictable script.

Wes Craven peut encore bien prouver son talent dans la manière dont il conçoit les effets spéciaux, mais ce long-métrage, m'a fait plus rire que peur, limite j'ai envie de mettre comédie dans la page senscritique de ce film ^^ Cursed réunit tout les clichés possible, passages trop prévisibles, voirent même particulièrement gênant, avec des personnages stéréotypés (d'où un mec du film passe en 10 minutes de hétérosexuel à ****.. et qu'il représente bien le mal alpha cliché), le film contient du gore à l'allure fan service, d'où les compositions musicales n'ont malheureusement pas de queue ni tête... Bref, un film très nul qu'on oubliera vite !
