I was immediately captivated by the well-written dialogues between the characters in the game. They allow you to empathize with the heroes, understand their motives and experiences. This creates a sense of closeness and involvement in what is happening. In addition, the game has excellent emotional voice acting in English.

Killer Frequency is a compelling choice-driven, non-action-oriented survival horror game that demands you keep your wits about you. If you really want to become the hero, you’ll enjoy every tense minute of it. Fail or consciously turn to the dark side, however, and you’re awarded with funny deaths and dark humor. Either way, it’s well worth giving it a spin.

Would I recommend Killer Frequency? Yep… even if you aren’t really a horror fan (like me)… this isn’t really the adrenaline pumping stuff… it’s far more the “horror comedy” style and those semi cartoon style visuals do help take some of the edge off the tension. It’s not a bad price but replay value isn’t super high (unless you want to mess with the callers and find out what their fate is like if you choose different options). A fun game with an interesting style, grab it if you like your puzzle solving with some retro radio vibes.

Прикольно. В процессе иногда бывало скучновато — накидала более 150 комков бумаги в баскетбольное кольцо, но в целом было довольно интересно. Играется легко, прикольные диалоги —в общем, рекомендую.

Killer Frequency turned out to be far more mature and impressive than expected. You play as Forrest Nash, a radio host in a small American town who suddenly gets caught up in a serial killer **** storytelling, delivered through distress calls from townspeople, is brilliant and original.Despite its simple gameplay (exploration and phone, based problem, solving), it’s engaging and atmospheric. Strong writing, excellent use of sound, and solid presentation make Killer Frequency a truly standout experience worth recommending wholeheartedly.

A very original premise. We're a radio host in the 1980s who has to replace the 911 dispatcher on a night when a serial killer is on the loose in the city. Each call will be a puzzle we must carefully solve if we want to save the person calling us. Meanwhile, we'll play music, commercials, and perform other tasks required by the radio show. Very cool, atmospheric and entertaining.

Honestly I can't find a fault in the game beyond that the puzzles seem to be static, but ultimately I understand that would require a lot of planning and voice acting for every possible little branch. It's presented very well, the characters are well voiced and written, and even if I found myself ahead of a few twists I wasn't ready for how it ended. I feel like there is also some replay value to be had, especially depending on the choices you make. Highly recommend, would spend another 5 hours sinking paper balls into the trash can.

Killer Frequency is a good narrative experience with some decent gameplay ideas. The story of the Whistling Man and his killing spree seems very familiar at first but benefits from nice twists and turns that actually pack emotional power. There’s not much depth to any of the mechanics but they add a lot of interactivity and give players opportunities to learn more about the universe of Gallows Creek. The voice actors deserve a lot of praise, especially for making their narratives interesting enough that I often forgot to constantly try to make crumpled paper free throws from my DJ station. The title does not outstay its welcome, at around 4 hours for a first run, and there’s replayability if players really want to keep everyone alive. Killer Frequency doesn’t reinvent its genre but it is engaging and simply fun.

Killer Frequency is a delightfully gimmicky game with an outrageous horror-comedy premise.

If you're into adventure and puzzle games, Killer Frequency is a nice and slightly different take on a game in that genre. But it's not a game for everyone.

I kinda dug this one. I wish I'd played it in VR, but I didn't even realise it had a VR version until after I'd finished it. The vibes are great - I'm not as into the whole 80s aesthetic as a lot of other people (I wasn't born until '99, so I don't have that sense of nostalgia), but I can still appreciate a good cohesive neon style. It's definitely goofy, mostly intentionally so, so you'll probably enjoy it a lot more if you don't take it too seriously; there are a lot of plot points that are far too convenient, certain things that don't make logical sense, things that don't fit with the year it's set in but are there to move the story along, etc. Don't think about it too hard and it's a fun time. I'm very specific with my tastes in comedy, so it can be hard for things that are deliberately trying to be funny to get me, but there were a handful of moments that made me chuckle a little (yes, the Ponty's Pizza running gag was one of them). The antagonist isn't scary at all, and the whistling is more bizarre than anything else, but again - not taking it too seriously. Voice acting is pretty good, intentionally over-the-top and showy, which works with the atmosphere. The variety in puzzles when it comes to the phone calls and saving the townsfolk was pretty good, with some being easier to understand than others, and managing to save everyone is genuinely satisfying. I do think they could have done more with the radio host side of things - it's a pretty unique concept for a horror game, but the most that really happens most of the time is throwing on a record for ten seconds only for it to be inevitably interrupted by another call that throws you into the puzzle-and-rescue side of things again. Overall, pretty fun and atmospheric with some genuinely funny and also genuinely tense moments, but probably not for you if you're hoping for genuine horror.

Slightly entertaining take on narrative driven by player choice, but not entertaining enough to justify the time invested. The puzzles themselves are neither challenging nor interesting - same as the characters.
