It feels like a template game for a typical roguelike game. There is nothing novel, interesting or memorable here. Everything is just functional and mediocre. I guess it's an ideal numbing game, but so little happens between runs, that it felt like I was playing the same round over and over, because the upgrades barely influence anything. The weapons feel different, so that's nice, but the level design is bland, enemies are boring and the gameplay offers nothing special, that would keep my playing, because the metaprogression is your typical 1% upgrades to meaningless stats. A game should really strive for something more than just being "playable".
