Every Year After: Season 140
Jun 9, 2026
Despite all its bonafides, everything about “Every Year After” just feels decidedly uninspired. The settings are lovely but the story is rote and predictable. Spread out over eight almost too flimsy episodes.

Bridgerton: Season 480
Jan 29, 2026
Yerin Ha is sharp and effervescent as Sophie, and it’s hard not to fall in love with her almost instantly. Plot-wise, there’s some charming “upstairs-downstairs” type interplay a la “Downton Abbey” or “The Gilded Age.” .... The show also manages to give Benedict a bit more depth than he’d been afforded in the books.

Nobody Wants This: Season 290
Oct 23, 2025
It’s as smart as anything else on TV right now, including more serious fare on other channels and streamers, and, like Joanne and Noah, it truly deserves all the love it’s got coming.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood : Season 160
Sep 5, 2025
It’s clear that “Blood of My Blood” is certainly reveling in its ability to deliver “Outlander” fan service. Whether that will be enough to build a long term fanbase — or even a set of stories that viewers come to care about on their own merit — is still really anyone’s guess.

The Residence: Season 180
Sep 4, 2025
“The Residence” is fun, frothy and full of intrigue, and sometimes that’s more than enough.

The Four Seasons: Season 180
Sep 4, 2025
Everyone in this cast is notoriously funny, and while this show isn’t exactly doing “prestige comedy” at the level of “Hacks” or even “The Righteous Gemstones,” it’s a gentle joy to watch, even during dicey moments that could hit a little too close to home for some couples.

American Primeval: Season 140
Sep 4, 2025
Berg and Smith’s on-screen vision is all pain with very little relief, making a binge-watch of this series a bit of a masochistic exercise. Knowing that the show employed an enormous amount of help to ensure what it captured was as real as possible, including indigenous cultural consultants and Mormon and military experts, is impressive but almost makes things worse.

Outlander (2014): Season 775
Jun 20, 2023
When episode four ends, Claire, Jamie, and their unit are arriving at Fort Ticonderoga to muster up for the Continental Army so it’s very possible things could get a bit more hair-raising in the back half of the season, but at least for now it’s safe to say you can just sit back and enjoy the show’s smooth, Scottish ride.

A Very British Scandal: Season 150
Apr 18, 2022
The Argylls’ duel has the potential to be salacious, and it surely was at the time, but now it’s more sad than anything. While the show clearly aims to lift up Margaret in absentia, instead it just makes viewers feel pretty disgusted by the whole affair.

The Flight Attendant: Season 275
Apr 15, 2022
Overall, season two of “The Flight Attendant” doesn’t mix things up much from its first season, and that’s both a blessing and a curse.
