This is a beautiful film, with wonderful visuals and a moving story. It also got more laughs in my theater than some recent major studio comedies I could ****'s true that it's a slow, poetic film and not necessarily an easy one. I think this would be a good one to make sure to see in a theater, if possible.

This movie has a lot of funny parts that I'm still chuckling about a few days later. It's a sweet movie about friendship, and I actually recognized the world it was set in even though my high school graduation was almost 15 years ago. It's really, really raunchy, which may account for why I didn't love it. Overall, more good than bad, and if it sounds like something you might like, you'll probably love it.

This film made me smile more than it made me laugh out loud, but I smiled almost all the way through, and indeed smiled all the way home from the theater. The romance is very well done and I totally bought into it. The music and the supporting characters were wonderful as well. I had a great time and wholeheartedly recommend giving this movie a shot.

This film is all about the music performance, which is wonderful. It is well worth seeing on a large screen with theater quality audio. I am not a religious person, but I was moved to tears.

I like romantic comedies, though I absolutely share the Rebel Wilson character's issues with the genre. This was a sweet, funny romantic comedy that made me laugh a fair amount. It's pretty silly, but it's a good time.

I found this to be a charming little "slice of life" story, well performed and very satisfying. Julianne Moore is wonderful, as is the soundtrack. I wish there were more movies like this one.

I bumped my rating up because I am glad that a film with an Asian cast has done so well. I also am a fan of Constance Wu and Awkwafina. This movie, however, made me angry. Not sure why it's called a rom-com when it is neither romantic nor funny. We never got any hint at why the central couple was so meant to be together, except presumably the simple fact that they are both attractive. The movie is visually stunning, for sure, but at the end of the day it just felt like a movie about how great it is to be filthy stinking rich. Not worth my hard earned money, that's for sure.

Great music, great performances, wonderful first hour or **** got a bit long for me, though there were moments of greatness in the later part of the film as well. I haven't seen the other versions, and I know that they felt they needed to keep some of the story beats from the others that I think could have used more of an update, but overall I think it was a successful melodrama. It's a well made film.

This movie is fascinating visually. I was very impressed by how like a living comic book it was. I found the experience of watching this movie exhilarating. It's sweet and funny and the action sequences are not boring as they so often can be. I love the characters (especially Miles) and the empowering message. I am planning to see it again in the theater, which is something I almost never do. Highly recommended.

This was a kind of cerebral, slow moving, almost small in scope sci-fi film. I absolutely loved it. The acting, the sense of place, the mystery. I don't think it would have had as much impact if everything had been explained. I can't wait to see it again.

I remember finding the original oddly charming, so despite low expectations, I got this at Redbox. It was pretty silly, and not really in a good way, nor was the ending satisfying. Still, it had some sweet moments and tried to address some real emotional truths about family and marriage. So I'm glad I saw it and wouldn't warn anyone away from it.

I have rarely been so surprised by reviews of a movie from which I have gotten so much enjoyment. I hadn't been sure what to expect, but I and most everyone in the (packed) theater where I saw this was laughing through the whole movie. The acting was as great as you'd expect with a cast like this, and the jokes were genuinely hilarious. We are fans of the original Ghostbusters and loved this "update," which felt respectful of the original movie while putting a new spin on the premise.
