All the good aspects of season 1 still remain in this 2nd season: Great animated Star Trek spin-off. Its tone is obviously rather different from the somewhat more traditional (and perhaps more canonical) series hardcore fans idolize, but the animated nature of this series allows it to be more than merely a series of self-important/pompous characters walking down interminable corridors uttering aphoristic-sounding nonsense: there's battles, there's heart, there's way more humanity and humour than in most of the previous Star Trek iterations and it is absolutely hilarious. On top of that, the relationship between the characters have now been further developed and are starting to become more subtle and nuanced (even if subtle is not a word I would normally associate with this show). Still: 10/10

Terribly written, appallingly acted, amateurishly plotted police procedural about an aging pretty boy who is immature and toxic enough for the housewives who must surely make the bulk of this show's viewership to squeeze out a drop or two of genital moisture. Avoid.

Not a great adaptation. It will simply make you doubt how good the comic book actually was in the first place. The casting is disappointing, the pace and rhythm weak, and the changes made to the original source material seem to have been introduced either merely on a whim or to make the series more Bechdel-test-friendly. Overall, it is ok as something to have in the background, but it is hardly innovative. It is definitely not thought-provoking. Hell, it is barely entertaining.

This boring and self-important ripoff of Fight Club has failed to develop a personality. The acting is poor and overly stilted (and not just the protagonist, who is on the autism spectrum), the plot weak, and the general aesthetic something we had all hoped had died in the late '90s.

Wow, this is bad. Really bad. The cast of this series has less charisma than a sack of decomposing potatoes. I though the last few seasons of 24 were derivative, but this has sunk the entire franchise into new, more oxygen-deprived depths...

Surprisingly bad action/drama series from David Mamet, the mind behind such brilliant works as Glengarry Glenn Ross, The Verdict, and House of Games. The Unit is badly paced, poorly acted, jingoistic drivel. And, yet, the worst thing about it is that it is unbelievably boring.

Assuming that they could recreate the success of Mad Men (the way he had assumed he'd be able to recreate the success of the Beatles), Mick Jagger brings us this ambitious -though ultimately tired- period piece. Bobby Cannavale's excellent performance is the best thing about this show.

This is pretty bad. This TV show absolutely mangles the original source material. It is a shame that they felt the need to take liberties (and that they decided to cast someone so bland and vanilla as Jesse Custer, a.k.a. Preacher). Seth Rogen should just play unfunny stoners in the films of Judd Apatow, and nothing else.

One of the worst shows on television right now. Even worst than the first season (which is a particularly difficult feat to achieve, given the poor quality of the first season), Wayward Pines' second season is the sound of a TV show dying.

Terrible show. The first fifteen minutes of the first episode are alright, and then it degenerates into substandard, poorly written, badly acted rubbish. Really terrible show, I cannot stress that enough. Really bad.

Did someone forget to tell Jennifer Lopez that she cannot act? Quick, someone do us all a favor and drop her an email. Ray Liotta offers a slightly better performance than he was in years (which does not mean, by this point, much) and the series does attempt (mostly unsuccessfully) to tackle some problematic and potentially interesting subject matter, but that is not enough to make Shades of Blue anything but a poorly cast, badly-written, cliché-ridden, mediocre (irrelevant, even) TV show.
