The Good Place

Probably the best US comedy series in existence. It's really silly yet so very clever. A word of warning though... The Good Place takes a bit of investment before it gets going and it isn't until after all the character building, up until the last couple of episodes of season 1, that things click into place. From then on, it's all on an upward trajectory to greatness.

Haven't read the books so I can't compare, but it is just sooo boring. Not including Pike and Henney, all the other actors are really terrible and hammy. It tries sooo hard to be high fantasy but instead feels like a children's show. How did they manage that, I do not know.... Probably not going to tune in for series 2.

Wow, just... Wow.... The show stared off well but it quickly gets worse with each passing episode. Really, the problem isn't anything to do with sexism or misandry. It's a female orientated show, I'd expect that. But is this what you guys want to see? A neurotic bumble fool? Both the same, in and out of She-Hulk form? The injustice this show deals out compared to the the source material is insulting to the actual, both physical and mentally strong version of the kick ass comic book counterpart. As it stands, She-Hulk AAL doesn't work because it's set in the Movie-verse yet it's utterly slapstick and very childish. The execution is absolutely amateur hour. How can I explain this another way... Imagine Zack Snyder but the whole creative team is a bunch of female Zack Snyders and it's gone so far the other way, that it's now anti Snyder.... For every macho man Zack Snyder pumps out, the She-Hulk team will create weak goofy, neurotic females. If not then it's the stereo typical power tripping ones. Seriously this offering is way more sexist towards women than if you got dude bro edgelords to run the show. She-Hulk AAL is nowhere near as empowered as the original comic book.

An ok time waster if you have nothing better to do, otherwise it is very weak on everything. The main leads are okay but every other actor, especially the main villian seemed to be amateurs... The story is your conveyor belt offering... If a ta boring... I'm surprised because of how good WandaVision is and then you have this.

Nowhere near as good as the British version in every aspect and then they go and kill the main lead of the show just to Game of Thrones you... But this time it didn't work because it happens in episode 2 (way too early) and Rothe/Sam is the only watchable actor and character in the show. That leaves you with no characters to root for unlike Game of Thrones. Bad, bad writing....

Seriously, if Outlander was written by a man, there would have been uproar. After all the hype.. I decided to give it a watch, couldn't get through to the end... Sorry if I offend anybody but Outlander is a female **** fantasy. Been to lot of forums to see if this is the case... Every book minus one has **** in it... Lovely... No thanks...

How did that happen? It's better than season 1!! What? Yes it's better than season 1 as series 2 embraces it's comic roots with every episode is packed to the brim with drama, action and ninjas!! So far the best comic book to tv adaptation. I don't know how season 3 could top this... Oh yeah and The Punisher... he's crazy good. Enjoy it!

It's a good antidote to the miserable slap that seems to be all the rage.. So watch The Shannara Chronicles when you need to unwind, it's guilty pleasure territory.

The single point I give to Benoist as it's not her fault that the show is dumb, pc pandering and most of all boring. Benoist has charm and her acting could have given us a good Supergirl but the writing makes her Kara is a tad too sickly... As for Supergirl? She's forever needing advice and doesn't know much of anything... All in all it's utter bilge aimed at the wrong people and not made for us, the people that bought her comics, her real fans. Avoid like the plague.

Utter nonsense. I stayed with this crap show because season one was promising and I'd hope it would wrap itself up, answer our questions, basically end it short and sweet. But no... It decided to drag on for more seasons until it found itself in danger of cancelation and then rushed an ending. In doing so... all that was good about season one was destroyed and out from the rebirth came a really stupid show with stupid stories and idiotic characters. One of the worst shows I've ever watched.

Lord of the Flies X Battle Star Galactica X Walking Dead (without zombies). Ignore all the complaints about about "good looking teens" "teens this, teens that"... Non of the actors are teenagers!! And it's never really crystal clear how old they are in the show. Yes they are supposed to be teens, but it's open to interpretation as they look about 20+ up to 30 years of age. Besides that, age isn't even a valid issue! Especially when the other half of the main cast are the adult groups, the relatives and the council! And "good looking" is now a complaint? What, really? See past that and give it a few episodes and you'll find a kick ass show that isn't afraid to give you answers and satisfy you with every episode. All the main cast are great. It's a show about survival and conundrums. What I really like about this show is... the choices our main casts have to make.. this means it's not long before we realize that their are no "good guys" on this show. I'm an oldie at 37 years of age. Don't let this Youth Adult category put you off. A lot of YA property is just as good as the so called "grown up" stuff. Replace the "supposed" teens with craggy looking adults and you still have the same show! Dark, action packed with intrigue. With season 3 green lit and a fan base quickly gathering, they must be doing something right!

"In a zombie infested world, a group of no hopers always make bad decisions, comes across bad guys, they fight... lots of people die.... Aaaand repeat!!" Hmmm.... is this series going anywhere? I'm getting really bored.. Not only is it "feel bad" tv... which I don't have a problem with, if you set yourself a limit that is... It's a task to plod through misery after misery with no hope in sight.. and guess what! There will be no hope if you've read the comics.. Does it feel good to watch misery? 5 seasons of it? I'm stopping at the end of this season because it is going round in circles... very miserable circles.

I'm now only watching out of respect for the first three seasons... But my god.. I don't think I can finish this crap (currently on episode 5). Many times in this season I've had to skip parts of an episode because it has turned in to absolute drivel, boring inane drivel. The only thing that can save this show now is if it ends in the next episode, with the story consisting of 50+ minutes of a blank screen with the words "Sorry but True Blood has come to an abrupt end. Thank you for your time." I feel so bad for having recommended this utter POS show to friends back in the first few seasons. I'm going to do the opposite now.. Good riddance, True Blood.

I was one of many negative reviewers to begin with.. Sorry to say, and apologies to the people who star and make this show. The things that I complained about initially either grew on me or repaired themselves. In short watch this show past the first 5 or 6 episodes and you have something good on your hands. As for how "un-Marvel this show seems at first becomes very Marvel the more you watch it. I decided to give this show another chance after my friend carried on watching it where as I gave up in the first few episodes, and all she said was good things about it. Glad I listened. Lets hope us former "haters" haven't spoiled the chances for a season 2 and beyond.

A stunning series, unique and dramatic. Watching this series was like the first time you watched 24, Lost or GOT.. What I mean is, is that it's a series that makes want more and wish that the next week would come quicker. This all goes to say that the acting and writing is great and throughout each episode it doesn't let you down. I can't wait for the next series, though I can't see how series 2 is going to top this..

Initially hated this show, gave it a 3 rating. I stuck with it due to running out of good shows to watch. After 5 eps I'd say it finds it's feet. The characters are no longer irritating and the story progresses well. People say it's the new Lost.. but this is more clear cut and definite. So don't let the comparisons put you off. This seems like it's much more cleverer and not making it up as they go along.

Generic cop show, weekly murder mystery.. Not the rise of Vegas!!! Like we were led to believe! We've been tricked in to thinking that this show would be something different since they kept on waving 'The Goodfellas' banner. I don't care if this is made by The Goodfellas writer, Nick Pileggi. I simply cannot stomach another weekly murder mystery. I was under the impression that this show was about the rise of Vegas through the crime bosses etc, with Lamb vs the mob.. It does have that. but only tiny bit of in each episode. I thought I'd stick around to see if this "generic cop" thing would disappear.. I'm up to episode 5 now... Still the same... Shame. I score this 1 point for good acting all around, 1 point for being "ok", 1 point for the two excellent female leads in Carrie Ann Moss and Sarah Jones and the last 1 point in for the 5 minutes of actual story arc. Currently very disappointed.

Wow.. I wasn't expecting that! I know violence shouldn't be used to prop up a show but it works! People actually get shot and killed in full view. Yeah sometimes there's clever editing but Oliver Queen actually kills bad guys!? That's a first! (For TV any way). You have to suspend belief for a super hero show by the way... I see some reviewers complaining you see... If you call for reality then a lot of human supers would die in issue 1 or episode one! And the Batman comparison... The character is from from the same universe! And also.. You could always say the Batman model of the last 20 years was stolen from ninja's no? There's a lot of Michael Mann in Nolan's Batman.. He ain't that original.. Face it a lot of things are going be like Batman.. It's freakin comic book world! When you are an edgy Green Arrow what else can you do? Back to the review... The acting is Smallville standard, everybody is hot and the pacing is good. Don't expect comic book Green Arrow though.. Just like how Smallville is different to comic book Superman. Anyway if you liked all the other super hero TV shows then you'd like this.

This is not like 'LOST'! The only reason people think that is it's now set on a tropical island. If you do need a comparison it's like the movie Crimson tide with the political intrigue of 24. Last Resort is very interesting for now and proved to be one of the best pilots for the year. If it keeps up the pace and writing of episode 1&2 then this is going to be amazing. As for the feel of the show.. It's just managed to rise above the lame "family" category by a few centimetres. Not much though! So I hope you don't expect 24 style of violence. The acting ranges from good to amateurish. There will be bits you can nit pick at but it's damn fun and hold so much potential. Watch it and make it popular so the people involved can take us to the next level.

Only for kids and women. This is for people that love Hallmark channel's type of stuff. I'm surprised OUat isn't shown at 2pm for daytime tv. OUaT is less than lightweight and even though it's concept is based on imagination there is none in the writing what so ever. Lastly when I say it's written for women... I mean no disrespect. It's clearly written for the children and the female audience and makes no qualms of alienating men. So rather than writing something that everybody could watch you have a show that's kicked out half it's viewers by choice. All in all the acting is average to bad and the whole show rather ridiculous

I've tried to give it a chance but it's not for guys and anybody over the age of 15, no matter what gender. The story and pace is lightweight. The acting is ok and the people are generically good looking. All of the high school cast look over 20 when it's supposed to be a high school thing.. And that's because they are all way older than 20! Anyway I'm not saying it's bad. It's just not well written for people over the age of 15.

There is no ridiculous plot ala 24 and is clearly written to be as real as possible, through the eyes of the two main soldiers. This is polished action at it's best so don't expect something complicated. Though at the same time don't take that negatively. It's intricate in it's simplicity and you are there for the ride.

You usually have to go through a couple of episodes of something before you are sure, but not with this! Death Valley is a cop & monsters mockumentary. Very, very generic, cliche'd and they even have stereo typical black guys. So white folk can feel good that black people having been included! Yay! There's also 1 Asian, yay! Beside the racial quota filling in generic ethnic roles that Caucasian's aren't allowed to portray.. It's all family **** and not what I expected.. I hope the aliens win. The Walking Dead is 110% more realistically written. Which was what I was hoping for... An alien invasion version of The Walking Dead. I felt like I needed to strap a bow tie to my hair, put on a pink dress and **** a lollipop by the end of this show. Here's the math... Generic+Stereo typing+Idiocy+Family+Family Dog+Aliens+Ugly people all dead+Doc Carter= Falling Skies.. Sesame Street is more hardcore. I was really looking forward to this show.. For people that want a less sillier review... I'll grant you one. This series is aimed towards a family audience and when you do that.. There are about 50% of scenarios and language that you cannot use. Realism cannot be successfully portrayed here. The characters are generic and nobody is outstanding. The acting is ok but clearly everybody seems to have graduated from day time TV acting school. Even Will Patton is average and this guy was great. Noah Wyle is just Noah Wyle.. the rest you can take it or leave it.. Judging from the pilot, I doubt we will see much alien activity as the show will aim towards the usual "we are the our own worst enemy" type of story.... To save on budget I guess. I agree we are our worst enemy but it would be nice to see something different. Just about everything on this show is too predictable and clumsy. Top it up with average writing and acting, then Falling Skies will not last long at all. I'll watch it all though due to fact it's still going to better than all the cop shows, hospital and law dramas out there. Though if it doesn't improve I will have to abandon it. It's not looking good because the pilot is where most most of the money is spent and where some of the best stuff is written before they run out of steam.
