No improvement. I give up on sport games. - The UI is still bad and animated/laggy so doing anything takes way longer than it should. - There's an insane amount of space on defense, you can keep the ball in their box way longer than you should. Fifa does the exact opposite, whereas once you get close to the box, it's just a massive clusterfck and you will get charged by 4 defenders. Neither feels like real football. - Skill moves feel really bad and unresponsive. Also it's not Tekken, don't expect me to press RS up, down, left, left, RB, X+Y, B, B, A, LT while running diagonally. - There's so much more they can do outside of the game in single player modes (ML, BAL), but there's zero change every year.

Scripted garbage piece of trash game. Doesn't matter how good your team is, you bronze / silver / gold teams all get boosted to the same level. And there is a momentum feature that makes the losing team play better so he has a chance to equalize. Therefore you will lose matches against complete **** who you outshoot 40 to 3 just because the game decided it'd be nice if he had a comeback. There are also gamebreaking bugs present where you can't finish great prize tournaments because of an error right before the final match. I will never ever buy another EA title because their support is trash, their game is trash and they're just money hungry ****.

Nicely polished card game with pretty UI that is completely ruined by its lack of features and depth. Two game modes, no statistics, no single-player outside of 'practice', not enough cards etc. And the meta card pool at any given moment is so small that you keep seeing the exact same decks all the time in constructed. Arena is still luck based (you can get 5 legendaries/epics or none whatsoever). The business model is pretty bad as well and with the new expansion it's gonna get much worse.

Blackguards4

Blackguards is a poorly balanced turn-based RPG based on what seems to be a very limited and flawed rule system. Some battles can literally be impossible to win with your current party, especially if you lack certain must-have spells. Mages are strictly better than warriors, as you can fully customize both, except warriors don't have access to spells. And while it may look like you have a lot of options at first, the opposite is true: you're going to be using the same few skills over and over. You can't even plan your characters since you're reliant on the trainers that you have access to. Equipment-wise there is not much customization either. Items provide no fun mechanics, just minor stat improvements, that you won't even notice. The only difference in defense is whether you have a shield or not. All of this makes your characters very linear which deprives combat of any strategy. All you can do is pray for better RNG rolls. That said, the game is pretty well executed in the graphics, sound and story department, but has some weird camera control and the dialogue is far from "hilarious" as other are describing it.

Great setting & story idea, however the mechanics/combat design make the game pretty much unplayable. The game has supposedly been in development for 10 years, which is really surprising since it looks like no time was spent balancing and designing combat. Instead of tweaking numbers, you're given infinite potions that heal you entirely and every fight simply becomes a boring AFK potion spam fest. Poor UI and controls don't help at all.

I've tried it quite a bit. Gave it a fair chance. Not impressed. Pros: - It's a MOBA challenging addictive. - Very good user interface outside of the game. Cons: - Chaotic compared to other MOBAs (can't even tell what's passable terrain). - Too few improvements over the Warcraft 3 engine DOTA. - Crappy community. - No solo ranking system. - Extremely unbalanced. - Matches are almost exclusively decided in 10 minutes, yet you have to player longer and finish the one-sided match.

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale7
Aug 5, 2013
Pros: - Easy to pick up - Can be played in sessions ranging from a few minutes to a few hours - Great progression system you're unlikely to replace the cool item you just got for a while (common in a lot of games) - Trading & adventuring & story is well tied together - Randomly generated dungeons provide replayability - Item limitation and death penalty during dungeon raiding adds difficulty and dynamic Cons: - Trading cannot be sufficiently automated (vending machines are not enough) - Gets grindy in lategame, especially with bad luck on some items - Hoarding money in lategame has no real benefit

"Infinite waiting for a plot twist that doesn't deliver" is how I would describe this game in one sentence. The gameplay seems interesting at first but quickly falls off as it is extremely tedious, repetitive and most of all incredibly easy. I would estimate there are about two 10 second segments that offer any challenge at all for a person of average intelligence. The animation is excellent and story has great potential that sadly gets wasted in the second half of the game. Even the pacing is really poor since the animation and dialogue is slow and cannot really be fast forwarded.

Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors3

The story shows potential but is constantly ruined by moronic dialogue, poor character design and unrealistic behavior. The game is rated as mature yet the dialogue and overall deduction skills of all characters are childlike at best. There is very little actual gameplay but somehow it still gets interrupted by random story elements at the most random times. Also the 9 hour time limit is there just for cooler title purposes characters love wasting time and you as a player aren't pressured in any way. But if you like being 500 steps ahead of the main character's tiny chicken brain and like yelling "Just shut up already" at the screen, I wholeheartedly recommend this game. And by game I mean visual novel.

Has some decent concepts but fails at executing most of them. The opening and ending "missions" are quite good, though sadly that's it. In all other missions you are a SHEEP. You're not told or hinted why you should do the things you do or even what they are exactly. You're basically kept in the dark THE ENTIRE GAME for the purpose of an incredibly foreseeable plot twist. Half the things you're supposed to do don't even make sense.
