Phoenix Point5

This game is a hot underdeveloped mess. An intriguing story and concept of a long dormant virus released from melting permafrost is wasted. The global map and games overall pacing are underdeveloped. The bases have no strategic game to them and look like place holders for real content. Maps are small and cluttered and most times you out gun the enemy except when your forced to face armored monstrosities a few hours in with no hope of beating them. Gear and Danger should escalate slowly over time. It just isn't fun in it's present form.

Fractured Space9
Oct 19, 2016
Fractured space arrives late to the already crowded MOBA scene, but it arrives having learned from the success of those who had gone before in the genre and avoids many of the pitfall that blighted those that fell. A tactical 5v5 capital ship space game. What's not to like with this level of polish. Upon release we are greeted with a game fit to take e-sports into the next decade. It comes replete with a vast array of ships, each unique and easy to pick up but difficult to truly master. At first the games main mode conquest strikes you as shallow and throw away but after a few games it opens up to reveal itself. It is one of those rare things in the MOBA field a game that at its core is immensely deep, tactical and values skill and team work over all else. It also destroys the notion of kill stealing as any one who does 20% damage to an enemy is awarded a take down or kill. Graphically stunning in HD with Smooth controls to boot. It gives the sensation of captaining a Battlestar Galactica size ship for free, Yes free so there is no excuse not to try it. When leagues and clans arrive shortly the game will be we positioned to challenge for contention and lead us to the stars

Godzilla - Smash34
Jun 3, 2014
An intriguing take on the Godzilla franchise. Not a monster fighting game but a monster puzzle game. The game looks good and plays smooth enough. The puzzle elements, chaining identical symbols to power Godzilla's various attacks work well and constantly evolve to test your skill and mettle. Extras can be bought from the in game store such as exploding tiles, extra life/continues. time and linking blocks that can be used to link differing blocks together to form larger chains. These aren't cheap for what they are and it's in there implementation that the game begins to show it's true motive. By level 9 you hit the first and most glaring problem. Timed levels. Here it becomes obvious to the player that rather than a supplement to play the extras actually become built in necessities, a pay wall if you will. Here you notice that time blocks are few in number and don't fall as frequently as the really should. This was fixed in the 1.2 patch with both a greater frequency of drops and larger time gains and made the game highly enjoyable, truly a test of skill. UNFORTUNATELY, two days later the game reverted to it's original version in update 1.3. Reinstating the pay wall and a block to the players enjoyment. ultimately the implementation of timed levels and extras show the game to be nothing more than a money grab and a poorly executed one at that, making no attempts to hide it's motives and placing a barrier to play before only the wealthiest. Overall this Is a fun good looking game till you hit the pay wall, it then becomes an exercise in frustration and ultimately abandonment. I do urge Godzilla and puzzle fans to try it, but only till you hit the pay wall. After that find something more rewarding and deserving of your time.
