Disco Elysium: The Final Cut0
Nov 9, 2021
Disco Elysium isn't focused on gameplay. It's focused on the story, the dialogue, the writing. These elements are all spectacularly bad. If you measure the quality of writing by the volume of words that are thrown at you, maybe this qualifies as decent writing. By any other metric, it's garbage.

Scarlet Nexus0
Nov 9, 2021
Not to speak ill of anime fans, but is there a reason that they're such **** for bad gameplay, story, pacing, really bad everything? Man, I really want to find the thing that's worth respecting here but I'm coming up less than short. Scarlet Nexus is both the worst video game of the year and the worst anime of the year. God, I am so embarrassed for anyone who enjoys this.

Mini Motorways4

It's hard to fault Mini Motorways for being significantly less enjoyable than Mini Metro. But it's fair to fault it for not being enjoyable at all.

Everhood0
Nov 9, 2021
If you tried Undertale but thought, "What if the dialogue was half as good and there was twice as much of it?" then you just might be able to tolerate Everhood.

Void Tyrant0
Nov 9, 2021
I've before never played a PC game that feels so much like a microtransaction-heavy mobile game. As it happens, that's exactly what Void Tyrant is. A thin, under-designed experience which isn't supposed to be fun; it's supposed to feel like it COULD be fun if you just paid a bit more money. Or at least, it could be a bit less ****. If you want a game that intentionally **** in the hopes that you'll give it money to **** less . . . this is the PC port of that game. There are no microtransactions here, just a deeply **** game that will never be worth a moment of your time.

Into the Pit0
Nov 9, 2021
There might be something fun somewhere in Into The Pit, but after several hours in the game, I sure haven't found it. It's been a long time since I experienced combat this unimaginative. I've maybe never seen upgrades this worthless. All wrapped up in a world where nothing is readable and it wouldn't look good even if it was. Into The Pit can go Into The Bin.

Toem is a great game, what more is there to say? More games like this, please.

The Artful Escape0
Nov 9, 2021
As other reviewers have pointed out, this isn't a game with any real gameplay mechanics. If you're playing The Artful Escape, you're playing for the story and music. Let's be real: The story is poorly-written in terms of character development, pacing, plot, pretty much anything that you'd want a story to do well. The music is much, much worse. Even as a fan of this style of music, the music is a pretty much non-stop assault of bottom-tier guitar noodling. There aren't enough drugs in the world to make The Artful Escape an interesting trip.

Eastward2
Nov 9, 2021
Every time Eastward has the opportunity to do something interesting, it will instead do something boring and predictable - and it will do it at half the slowest speed you could possibly imagine tolerating.

The Eternal Cylinder3
Nov 9, 2021
There are some real innovations at play in The Eternal Cylinder. The cylinder itself feels pretty unique. Big kudos are due to Good Shepherd Entertainment for trying something genuinely new. On the other hand, the game **** from top-to-bottom and isn't worth your time by any stretch of the imagination. This game feels like the concept came first and the execution came so far behind it that it's still not fully executed. The Eternal Cylinder feels so broken, unpolished, and fundamentally unfinished that I would only recommend it if it were the only game in existence - and even then with significant caveats.

Unsighted0
Nov 9, 2021
From its one-note combat to its underwhelming upgrades to its janky, half-finished levels . . . Unsighted is a good game if you've never played a good game before. Maybe if you've never played a game before, period. At the end of the day, it's a Metroidvania where the combat **** and exploration is terrible because the level design is so, so poor. There is an exceedingly mediocre story; it's not as bad as everything else about the game, but there's truly nothing to write home about.

JETT: The Far Shore5
Nov 9, 2021
Jett: The Far Shore might be an interesting game, but it's at least twice as boring as it is interesting. All of the dialogue lasts twice as long as it needs to and ultimately adds little to the experience. The gameplay is needlessly strung out; you're forced to spend overmuch time on tasks/areas that don't have much to show. There are some good ideas in Jett, but none of them are polished very well. The result is like 5 different gameplay elements all failing to work together, none earning the player's time or interest.
