Disappointing sequel that is a slog to get through but, more so, a huge step back from KCD1 by retconning the first game and turning it into a different type of RPG rather than the specific character-driven one the first game was. How vexing that the developers had us invest $60 and 100+ hours into the characters in the first game only to rug pull them out from under us in the second.

Without question, Inside is one of the greatest games ever made. It is so meticulously edited and perfected that I honestly cannot think of another game as polished. Playdead just gave a free lesson to everyone on how to make art. This is the first game in my three-plus decades of gaming that I can't stop thinking about after I beat it.

One of the most unique puzzle platformers I've ever played. Via Kinect, your silhouette is onscreen, revealing a second world. It's up to you to contort your body to solve the puzzles by revealing or concealing obstacles between the two worlds, thereby enabling the onscreen protagonist to traverse the levels. The coolest part, though, is the bonus mode available if you find all the collectibles: it unlocks the original developer mode, including co-op play! Very neat.

Easily the greatest First-Person Shooter game of all time in terms of multiplayer gameplay mechanics. The new Spartan abilities were perfectly incorporated into the game, and I've never played such a balanced and competitive multiplayer FPS game. Brilliant.

One of the best 2D, cooperative puzzle platformers I've ever played. Press Play Games did a brilliant job crafting a challenging yet enticing game in this crowded genre.

A brilliant wedding of motion and voice controls to the action-detective genre. Swery has made one of the best Kinect games of all time, with an interesting story and wonderfully eccentric characters.

Child of Eden beautifully weds two of my favorite things in video game history: Rez and Kinect. This game is synesthesia, and it's probably the greatest Kinect game ever made.

Unequivocally, Fantasia is the best music or rhythm gave of all time, and possibly the greatest Kinect game of all time too. The music selection is eclectic. The gameplay, both single player and multiplayer, is superb, accurate, and just plain fun. If you own a Kinect and don't own this game, you're wrong. If you don't own a Kinect and haven't purchased one just to play this game, you're also wrong.

A fun, well done merger of the 2D side-scrolling beat-em-up and motion-control genres. The Story Mode has a nice feature where it takes snapshots of you and splices it into a moving comic book, and the gameplay is impressively varied, with a slew of special moves that make you look like a superhero and accurate motion-controls that encourage you to move around. In addition to Story Mode, there is a smorgasbord of Challenges (i.e. mini-games) to add replay value.
