Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order7
Nov 30, 2019
Most likely the best SW game ever done. However, for some reason the developers think that a jedi should be jumping around from pipe to pipe, doing tomb raider stuff, and sliding in ice... I dont know what movies they saw, but definitely not the official ones. The game has some tedious parts in the beginning. Long unrewarding puzzles, Timed jumps. Even some unfair enemies if you play in harder difficulties... Some enemies dont look to be there to guard an area, but seem to be waiting specifically for you and placed so that is hard for you to reach them ... In short... The devs seem to try their hard so that you dont feel like a jedi. So bad for a game with so much potential. Apart from that, the game has cool tense moments, awesome music, great acting and voicing... basically all the other not-so-important parts of the game are great.

Why the hate? Just by reading the comments you can see they are all trolling. The game is not well optimized yet... specially when you use DX12, that's true. But with DX11 i had no crashes or bugs so far whatsoever (8hrs aprox.) So i since I can play the game and experience what it has to offer fully, i will not use that excuse to bomb-comment this game. Patches will eventually come. The game has created a very nice atmosphere, however maybe this time isnt as oppressive as the prequels just because you arent underground and surrounded by darkness all the time. The stealth is super enjojable, although maybe not as tense as in other Metro games. The firefights and the weapons feeling not so much... which is a shame specially when you use them so much, and you take into account that this is the 3rd entry already with the same fault. The maps are quite interesting... a bit too scripted but still very enjoyable. The facial expressions look stiff, and -in Spanish- the voice acting is atrocious. But hey... those are little unimportant details to me. Metro is not about that. I havent finished the game yet, but so far the story is very interesting and so promising.

The game has some things that are great. The character and npc designs, the animations, the sense of humor, the tight controls... But others just feel lackluster, like the map design, the puzzles, the low difficulty, the music and sound effects. The game felto also somehow short, and it left me the feeling that the side characters have not been used good enough. But more than anything else, I think it was the aweful level design what really let me down...

I played this game once when it was in an alpha stage, i believe (the aurora didnt even explode). It was already awesome then, and Im so glad to say that they've made it even more awesome. It's a game about EXPLORATION, more than anything else. It also throws in some light survival mechanics, and some light/medium crafting mechanics. Pros: - Feelings... this games makes you feel soooo many good things. The atmosphere is just perfect. You feel lost, alone, and frightned while exploring the depths and caverns with interesting lifeforms. I crapped my pants when a weird shadow came out of nowhere in the dark below the Aurora and grabbed my little seamoth.. But also feel satisfied and fulfilled when you figure out sth important, or when you find sth unexpected or much needed to advance. - The controls and building mechanics are correct. - The graphics and general design of the creatures is also pretty good. Of course better graphics would be welcome, but it is fine as it is... - The sound effects are also very good! The distintive sound of every creature you'll end up memorizing (if you know what's good for you). - Survival mechanics are there, but are light.. wich I love. I dont want another game that pushes me to keep on looking for sth to survive, like Dont Starve, or Stranded... Such things stress quite a bit, and makes my exploration experience less enjoyable. Cons: - Even though it already packs quite a lot of content ... I want MOOORE. Just give me more of everything. More biomes, more species, more buildings, more wrecks, more tools, more story, more unexpected discoveries, more non-linear ways to play the game. I will never grow tired of having sth else to do. Dont give weapons though... dont ever let me feel overpowered.. give me depth in mechanics and more things to explore and unveil. I really hope they add up some DLCs to this fantastic game. - The music is alright, but sometimes seems a bit out of place. - If you're looking for a regular FPS experience, go somewhere else. This is no COD ok? This about exploration and discovery. - If you're looking for a heavy survival game, also go somewhere else. This is no Dont Starve or The Forest. Survival mechanics are there just to remind you that you are human. So ... by all means, PLAY THIS GAME. It's worth it, and it will make you feel like almost nothing else can.

Probably the worst port I have ever seen. The worst part is the lack of control settings. You cant bind keys or mouse actions, and to those **** that say this is not an issues, ... well, it is. I have a PS2 controller which i use to play every single game that needs a pad. Most games (including this piece of **** doesnt recognize the button configuration well, and since you cant bind keys, you cant use programs like antimicro or xpadder. They force you to buy an xbox controller, which is very unfair. Nobody should support ports like this one, and I highly suspect only console fanboys are rating this monstrousity positively. Dont buy the game, period,

The graphics are artistic but lack detail. The sound is atrocious: the music is basically nonexistent and the sound effects feel very weak. The control lacks depth. Sure you can customize your fighting deck, but ultimately it can easily become a button masher with a few blocks/evades. Unnecessary complex maps with lots and lots of paths... without real sense of discovery. The game is tiresome. Basically same atmosphere and enemy design all the way. Internet connection is bad. Period. I could say more, but this is enough for me to never play this game again.

The good: -Good graphics and map design. -Tight controls. -Memorable action scenes. The bad: -Although the map design is rich and smart, it relis way too much in "going back or around things to get goodies". -Way too linear and scripted. -False sense of survival. It's just a straightforward action-platform game. -Optional, short and easy tombs in a game called "TOMB" raider. -Lackluster story with a stupid plot, with many childish moments. Predictable and main stream. -Neither the character nor the other npcs are memorable or boast a strong personality. -Poor enemy AI. -Lost opportunity to clean the face of such a fan-favourite game franchise.

Lol... This kind of games reveal how lost some reviewers are with indie games. Not all indie games are good, and this is a good example. If this game had been released in the Doom/Heretic years, wouldnt have drawn a single drop of attention. In short, retro graphics and high difficulty dont make a good game by themselves.

This game would've got a much higher User Score if it had been released before Terraria. The game has a lot of items, missions, lore, great ideas, etc .... But still, I find the end product very dull, and its gameplay extremely repetitive and boring. -Despite all the loot, digging isnt remotely as rewarding or thrilling as in Terraria. -Despite all the planets they are not distinct enough to encourage visiting them. -Despite the variety in the enemies, the AI and the design arent great, and most of them feel kind of the same. -Despite they had plenty of time to develop it, this game has ended the same way it started : Lots of promises and potential but none became true.

This game is super-addicting. It's a Harvest Moon rip-off with some mechanics from Terraria, and support for user mods... Awesome idea, if you ask me. The game is fun as hell... However, imo it lacks endgame content and advance farming mechanics. Guess they couldnt balance well the easy-to-newcomers/depth of mechanics ratio... Hope the mods, or the sequel (please!!) will fix that. Definitely give it a try!!

It is very addictive.. just as any other city builder, imo. Though it lacks depth, and soon you'll realize you've built every single construction the game offers, and there is nothing left but expanding in the same fashion... The graphics are nice, the technical requirements are very very forgiving, and I hope a sequel comes out soon... But this original game ends up being repetitive very fast.

An instant classic. One of my favourite games ever, and the best batman game by far. Outstanding graphics and concept art, beautifully voice acted, unbelievable music score, epic story, flawless mechanics, long gameplay, high replayability. I just couldnt ask anything more from a game. Love it.

More or less the same as Anno 1404 (Dawn of Discovery)... the construction menu seems a little bit more organized, but shares same exact mechanics. The graphics are still awesome, but based on the future. Personally I miss some features from the original game, so I will rate it slightly lower.

Dead Island: Riptide8

It is the same Dead Island original game with new maps , some fixed bugs and slightly improved mechanics. Therefore it deserves the same score as the original (more or less). Don't trust the haters. If you loved Dead Island, you'll definitely love this one too. It should've come out as a expansion, though.
